Day ten
This was another day where our plans had changed because of the weather. We originally had the Yachtsman booked for the following day but decided to bring it forward so we could go to Fantasmic. We couldn't get an earlier ADR on the same day but were able to move it to a different day.
Breakfast was donut holes then a pastry from Starring Rolls when we arrived at Hollywood Studios. Marie had a croissant and I had another chocolate croissant. As I said we're creatures of habit! We paid OOP for these and drinks as they aren't a great use of snack credits being only a couple of dollars. Croissant and chocolate croissant Lunch was Backlot Express which we both like. I had the 1/3 Angus Bacon Cheeseburger with onion straws and horseradish sauce but without the sauce. I remember having a burger here a few years ago and thinking it was amazing. This was really enjoyable but I may have built it up in my head to be better! The onion straws were nice and I found them better than onion rings. 1/3 Angus Bacon Cheeseburger, onion straws (and horseradish sauce that I didn't have!) Marie had Chilli Dog. I think by this time she may have been sick of hot dogs! The dessert options were Chocolate Mousse or Strawberry Parfait and I didn't really want either. I asked the CM what I could have and he also mentioned carrot cake so I chose that and Marie got the chocolate mousse. Now I thought I was getting carrot cake but what I actually got was this- It was a carrot cake cupcake with orange flavoured icing. It was really nice, particularly the icing but I couldn't eat all of it. Marie said the chocolate mousse was nicer than the one in Restaurantosaurus. Chocolate Mousse (and some ketchup!) Dinner was the Yachtsman Steakhouse which was another new one for us and has been on the list since our last visit! Our server Ryan was very friendly and enthusiastic but you could hear him giving the same spiel to all his other tables! First he brought us bread which was onion bread and some sour dough rolls. This comes with butter and roasted garlic. The onion bread was amazing. It was lovely, warm, doughy and flavourful. I didn't really plan on eating any of the garlic but after having a wee taste we ended up eating the whole thing. Ryan saw how much we'd enjoyed it and ended up bringing us more onion rolls and more garlic but to be honest while we could have eaten them we didn't want to spoil our appetites for the main event! Onion bread For entree we both had the Filet Mignon and Ryan said we could choose any side from any steak dish and any sauce. I chose the twice baked potato which has cheddar cheese through it and peppercorn sauce which came with the New York Strip. Marie chose truffle fries and the Cabernet sauce. Mine was lovely although I do prefer the filet at Le Cellier. Marie's truffle fries looked over done and weren't that nice. We also got a side of Truffle Mac & cheese which was really tasty. Marie was really glad we'd gotten that since she hadn't enjoyed her fries. Filet Mignon with twice baked potato Filet Mignon with truffle fries Truffle mac & cheese Dessert for me was the Chocolate-Peanut cake which was nice enough but didn't blow me away and Marie the Yachtsman Sundae which was a trio of gelato. This was a huge dessert and she couldn't finish it but said it was nice. Chocolate-peanut cake Yachtsman Sundae Overall we really enjoyed the Yachtsman. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and the food was enjoyable. We'd definitely put this on the list for the next trip. Credits used - Backlot Express - 2 CS The Yachtsman - 4 TS Starring Rolls - paid OOP Edited at 11:51 AM. |

Day eleven
A very boring day food wise. We had originally planned to go to AK for a couple of hours then MK. All our FP+ were for MK mid-morning onwards which just made us lazy and we decided to just take our time.
More donut holes for breakfast then when we got to MK we went to the Main St Bakery (Starbucks). I got a latte and a chocolate croissant again. Marie got a normal croissant and was really annoyed to find there was no butter or jam for it. Lunch was Cosmic Rays as Marie wanted chilli cheese fries which you cna get for a snack credit. We also used one CS credit on chicken nuggets. We were going to share but mostly I ate the chicken nuggets and Marie ate the chilli cheese fries. Chilli Cheese Fries Chicken Nuggets and fries Dinner was take out from WPE. We used the other CS credit to get a BBQ chicken pizza to share and paid OOP for fries. This is a really nice pizza but was a bit cold by the time we got to eating it. It's enough to share between the two of us with the fries. Dessert was more Oreo cookies & cream pie. BBQ Chicken Pizza Fries Credits used - Starbucks - 4 snacks Cosmic Rays - 1 snack and 1 CS Wolfgang Pucks Express - 1 CS plus paid OOP for fries Edited at 11:53 AM. |

Thanks! We had the standard DDP and paid OOP for Beaches & Cream and Rainforest Cafe. We didn't feel B&C was a good use of a credit and we knew we wouldn't want a dessert. We got a Landry's Select card and that paid for dinner at RFC.
Not sure what's going on with the photos! I can see them on my ipad and laptop but Marie's just told me she can't see them on her ipad. |

I've posted on the Guest Services part of the forum to see if anyone can help. I've no idea what I'm doing wrong and why only some of the photos are missing.

Ok I think I've sorted it. Can you let me know if there are any pictures still missing before I do the last few days? Thanks.
