I love the different places you are eating too, we will definitely be doing Bubba Gumps next year we didn't do it in 2012 I'm not sure why I think we were all just in awe of everything!

I think it's because we thought it'd be a one time visit so next year I'm going to smell the roses a bit more.

I cannot wait to read about your Disney cruise as we were thinking doing this too but hubby wants to visit Clearwater too so we will have to decide which one we really want to do.

I've loved reading your report this far & looking forward to more x
Ahh, thank you. I can't believe you read it all in one go!

Yay, I'm glad I have a fellow holiday scent buddy! It really is lovely being transported back to the holiday everytime you use it again afterwards.

It's brilliant going back to Disney again, as you really can slow down a little and take in all of the small details. The last time we went was back in 2012 as well, I can't wait to see all the changes.

You should go for the cruise and Clearwater, that's what we're doing

Thanks for reading,

WWWWOOOOOWWW. Just got all caught up on your pre-trippie, took me two sessions on the laptop! What am amazing trip, jealous! I think I missed it, have you turned 30 yet or is it while you are away? I found the benefit of being able to have a lovely holiday to celebrate far outweighed the cost of having a "3" at the front of your age

In a funny co-incidence, we had poutine for lunch yesterday (Joe's absolute fave) and he was eating the leftovers when I started reading your report- I showed him your Epcot pic and he got all excited

I am also feeling thoroughly spreadsheet shamed. Yours is a thing of beauty- as an accountant I am painfully aware of how inferior mine is

Under 3 months to go for you, how exciting!

We're going to be trying out Cowfish too, it looks amazing doesn't it! Faye has really got into her Sushi after recently trying it for the first time and I'm partial to the odd burger or 3 so it's a perfect mix for us both!

I think we're also going to try the Hot Dog Hall of Fame also which looks really cool, I'm glad they've got so many different choices now. A few years ago we really struggled to find anything we wanted to eat at Uni!

Well done you for getting through all of my waffle in only two sittings!

It is going to be an amazing trip I'm still clinging on to my twenties, I turn thirty in July, Nathan's not so lucky and had his big 3-0 last week!

Poutine is amazing, Nathan gets excited every time he sees a pic or we mention ADRs.

The spreadsheet shame made me chuckle I think I've gone a bit overboard, but I love the pretty colours I'm looking forward to seeing a piccie of yours!

Cowfish looks ridiculously amazing I am sooo looking forward to the burgers and shakes!

I've not read anything about the Hot Dog Hall of Fame, I'll have to do some research as it sounds yummy! I know what you mean about Universal, we normally used to end up at Hard Rock for food, as there wasn't many places that took our fancy.

I feel like I've wrote a lot about food, but I've not written my snack list up yet?!

Nathan’s 30th & Flights

Nathan’s 30th & Flights

Nathan turned 30 last week and we had a week full of celebrations. We had a meal on his birthday at Ed’s Diner, where we filled up on huge American burgers in preparation for Orlando . The Nutella milkshake is phenomenal, very filling, but ridiculously yummy! We were also planning on seeing the new Avengers film, as he is a MASSIVE Marvel fan, but a silly and stressful Ofsted inspection has meant that we have had to re-schedule . I just knew that they would come in, as I had planned something on a school night! I had two full teaching days and frustratingly didn’t get seen once! All of my fellow Dibb teachers out there will hopefully be able to understand how infuriating this is.

His final birthday celebration was a party at home at the weekend for our friends and family. He has always wanted a hog roast, he tried to organise one for our evening guests at our wedding, but the venue couldn’t accommodate so I finally granted his wish and booked one for his 30th birthday party. We have been living off of the pork ever since, as the hog roast was for 250 people and as we had it at home we were limited to around 50 guests! It was extremely tasty though, even if it was a little bit intimidating with the head still on (scroll down quickly if you don’t want to see!).

The before picture…
(Nathan is not a fan of this picture, as he is in his ‘chav’ wear to help get the prep and heavy lifting done for the party, he has begrudgingly let me post it!).

…And the after picture. Nathan taking the hog roast / BBQ manly duties very responsibly!

He had a brilliant time and the hog roast was a big success, most of the guests took some home with them instead of the normal goody bag! It was a little bit chilly, but thankfully the rain held off and all of the guests seemed to enjoy themselves. I was so busy rushing around, making sure that everything went smoothly I forgot to take any pictures. I was planning on practicing with my new camera as well, so that I was more familiar with all of the settings before Orlando. Oh well, I will just have to plan in a day trip somewhere to practice instead!

Nathan was very lucky and got quite a few presents and holiday treats. My parents have paid for one of the night’s stay at HRH for him, as he really wanted to stay onsite at Universal. This was organised a while back when we originally booked, so that Nathan could have two nights stay and the benefits instead of the one that we had budgeted for. He also received quite a lot of clothes and spends that he will be able to keep for the holiday.

A few of his pressies – some American sweeties & cereal, headphones for the flight, an Iron Man pass case for his Universal ticket, dollars and his ‘holiday vouchers’.

As it was a big birthday I ticked off one of his bucket list wishes and have paid for us to go upper class to Orlando!

It was ridiculously expensive, so I am not going to put down the cost in case I faint again when reading back! We are both super excited though – this is something that I have always hoped to do as well, so I lucked out with this gift!

We will now be able to sleep on the flight, order food whenever we fancy, go to the bar for a drink, have a treatment on board, as well as use the First Class Lounge before the flight – where another spa treatment is also included in the price . We will definitely be making use of all of the extras like the lounge before the flight and I have also started to peruse the treatment list and see what is included. I will probably be so excited on the flight that I won’t be able to take advantage of the reclining bed, as I won’t be able to sleep! I’m sure Nathan will be happy ordering food whenever he wants.

I am hoping that it will ease our holiday blues on the return flight, as it will be something else to look forward too and we will (hopefully) know how brilliant it is from the outbound flight. I think that these will be the only flights that I want to last longer, so we can get all of our monies worth! I really cannot believe what a mammoth and exciting holiday this is turning into – I am extremely lucky!

So a pretty hectic time recently, with birthdays, parties and Ofsted - I have had very little time to get on with the rest of my holiday planning!

Woohoo, upper class! That sounds immense, your hubby is a lucky man! I've got my fingers crossed for a cheeky wee Club World upgrade in November, doubt it'll happen though!

He looks so happy with his hog roast too, a good way to celebrate! We've got an Ed's Easy Diner about to open up here, I am a bit excited!

Upper Class really does sound immense. We were thinking of going with BA when booking our flights last year, but Virgin worked out a little cheaper, but whilst researching I had sneaky look at Club World and it looks brill - fingers crossed for your upgrade!

Ed's diner is really yummy. If you become a member you get a free burger! You also get a free milkshake on your birthday and some 50% off vouchers throughout the year - not sure if this is useful?

I hope your planning is going well,

Upper class! How fancy! Can't wait to read your report as we're thinking of going UC when we fly next year. It is stupidly expensive but you only live once. That's what I keep telling myself.
