Great to see you made it to the other side! I can imagine the counter service was a good idea at the time before the fatigue kicked in!

So happy to see you're posting live too

I love the look of the cheeseburger flatbread, I was almost tempted to choose SSR over OKW just so I could try it!

Denny's

On our first morning we collected our car and then had a short 5 minute drive to Denny's.

We were seated in a giant booth. Out server was very friendly and attentive throughout.

The menu here is massive! I already knew what I was having as I had the menu on my iPad for months(sad!)

I had the Peanut butter and chocolate sauce pancakes that came with hash browns, a choice of bacon or sausage and eggs. I asked to sub the eggs. She asked if it would be ok if I had more meat instead. I believe there is a phrase about bears doing their business in the woods that sums up my reply.

Kelly built her own slam with pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage and hash browns.

Lily Belle had kids french toast (the pancakes in the photo are Kelly's)it came with sausage and scrambled eggs. She tried hash browns as well.

Evie built her own kids slam. She had bacon, sausage, hash browns and pancakes.

Den had the Senior scrambled Eggs and cheddar breakfast. Marian had the All American Slam.

This was a great way to start the day and was so much nicer than the IHOP we had been to on our last trip. I've a feeling we may be back later in the holiday!

Cost was $56 so left $70 with tip.

Walmart.

Big let down for me. The whole experience was long and underwhelming. (like being married to me DW Kelly would say). It was a giant aircraft hanger and looked like a lower class Asda (sorry i'm not really a snob, I like Asda). I know they are the same company.

I bought a few favourite items including a massive bag of M&M's, crunchy cheetos, Funyions (massive Breaking Bad fan,Mountain Dew and peanut butter oreos.

We bought various food items to stock up for back in the room. I promised DW Kelly we could go back later in the holiday so we could leave

Love Dennys breakfasts
DD had those peanut butter pancakes - she's already planned to have them next year!
Loving your report
