You are allowed to order 1 hot item each. Me and Den ordered the beans on toast. Quite a weird take on it!


Now you see, I would have liked that version of beans on toast - I hate soggy bread/toast so when I have it at home, I have my baked beans in a dish and the toast on the side!

Rainforest cafe

This is always a must for us going back to when me and Kelly went twice on our honeymoon. Our first meal table service meal on Disney property.

As always it's completely chaotic at the check in. We checked in and waited a few minutes to hear our name called. The tannoy announcer sounded like he was speaking underwater.
We had a pretty good table. It was very busy. I resisted getting an appetiser as that was our downfall on the last trip.

Me and Kelly both had Mojo Bones that came with fries. We both really enjoyed them.



Marian had the steak and shrimp combo which she liked.



Den had the Rainforest burger which came with fries. Looked a bit dull to me but he enjoyed it.



Evie Mae had the Chicken Tidbits and sweet corn. She liked this. I find that here and at T-Rex the kids get some strange combinations!



Lily Belle had cheese pizza and for some reason selected mash potato to go with it!



Drinks were the standard coke products.

For desert, me and den had the Diablo Chocolate cake which was really nice. I find some some chocolate cake a bit dry but this was really moist.



Kelly had the cheesecake which she said was nice. Marian took her cheesecake to go.



Evie Mae had the lava cake and worms. She liked this. Lily Belle took hers to go.



Overall, a good first table service meal on Disney. Not for everyone but we always enjoy it. We used 6 table service credits. Not sure I would pay oop though!

Hollywood and Vine Playhouse Lunch

Lily Belle's 6th Birthday.

Ok, first things first, buffets are quite hard to get good photos so excuse these!

We arrived about 10 minutes early for our ADR and there was a long line outside the podium. We checked in and waited outside on the veranda. It was baking hot. They had water coolers outside to help yourself to which was needed. Lily Belle had changed into her Sofia dress which she got for her birthday.



We were called after only 5 minutes which was dead on our ADR time. Our server was friendly and efficient throughout the meal. He clocked we were English in about a second.

We had time to visit the buffet before any characters came round. Selections included, Assorted Vegetables and Starches, Baked Chicken, Children's Buffet, Chicken Nuggets, Macaroni & Cheese, Broccoli, Create-Your-Own Pasta Bar,Lobster and Shrimp Macaroni & Cheese,Maple and Grain Mustard Salmon,Seasonal Pasta and Seasonal Pork. It was a really nice selection.

















The characters (Doc Mcstuffin, Sofia, Jake and Handy Manny) all came round and there was good interaction. I will post these in my yet to do trip report.

We enjoyed this meal. Yes it was busy and noisy but that's what a character meal at Disney is all about. We used 6 table service credits.

I don't like Walmart very much either but this year I discovered my new fav place to shop Super Target on the 192. Loved it, don't know why I just liked it much more than Walmart x
