Disney, Finally here we come and the Grandkid's still don't know Sshh- Sept14 Day 14 Golf and Home
Day 13 Aquatica
Day 14 Packing, Golf and Home 25th September So it was up early today as we were going out for breakfast. We ended up at the Golden Corral on the 192 next to where they had a crazy golf area but at present was shut and being demolished. We all made our way in and got sat down and our waitress explained what we had to do, everyone went up and got what they wanted, after a while we were all finished and so decided to make our way to the Congo River for a game of golf. We split into 2 groups and had separate games, have to say it was a very hot morning to end our last day in Florida. Once we finished our games we then made our last trip to Wal-mart to buy an extra suitcase then made our way one last time to the villa. Ben, Stacey and the kids all jumped into the pool while we finished all the packing. Once everyone had got out of the pool they all had their showers and got dressed. We still had things to eat so while some things were put into plastic bags other bits were eaten. Steve and Ben then went to pack the van up, however once this was done Ben noticed the front passenger door lock and it looked like someone had tried to break into the van. We had our final check of the villa and said our final goodbyes to the resort and then headed to the airport. The journey to the airport was quiet and uneventful and we soon arrived at the car drop off point where a porter asked if we needed help, well we couldn't say no, he told us all to stand to one side and he would take everything out, well while he was doing that Steve was talking to the bloke from Alamo about the lock, he actually apologised to us and said sorry that one of his American Citizens had done this to us and not to worry as the insurance would cover it all. We then made our way to check-in, Steve had to take his umbrella and jacket in a large plastic bag over to the oversized baggage while we continued to put labels on the rest of the luggage also the luggage belt wasn't working so we had to take all the luggage over to another area. When this was all done we made our way to some seats where we tried to finish all the bits and pieces we had brought and the rest was put into the bin. Stacey realised she hadn't got anything for her parents so they both went off to the Disney shop and we were meeting up with them again where you board the plane. The rest of us made our way through security in really quick time then made our way onto the tram over to the gates. We sat and waited for our gate to open then made our way to gate 81 and yet again we had English Rose, we were among the last to board as we were sitting in rows 26, 27, 28 and 29. We settled down and within a couple of minutes were taxing onto the runway. Pretty soon we were in the air, not long after takeoff dinner was served, I had the beef stew which was nice. When everything was cleared away the lights were turned off in the hope that everyone could get some sleep. The kids managed some but the adults didn't. Soon we were landing feeling really tired we made our way through security again and onto baggage claim. This morning was a bit like ground hog day as we stood by the carousel and took each bag off as it arrived then it came to the last bag and it was nowhere to be seen. A baggage man came over to us and asked if we were okay, we of course said no and that we were missing a bag. There was one suitcase going around with the same colour strap as ours but ours had McManus machined quite a few times around it where as this one had special assistance on it. Can you guess what happened AGAIN. With this Steve had to go and report it, there was a name on the label but no number to call, anyway we did everything we could and then headed for the minibus that was waiting for us. Once on the minibus the kids once again fell asleep, the journey home didn't take too long we took all the bags off the minibus and everyone headed off to their own homes. Once indoors we found a message on our answer machine, it turned out to be from the person who took our bag by mistake they had said they realised they had the wrong bag when they got home and were heading back to the airport with our suitcase so hopefully we should get our bag back on Saturday. We then unpacked what bags we had and then went to pick up Jasper from the cattery, he seemed to enjoy himself there but was all around us for the next couple of hours. We all struggled to keep our eyes opened and finally gave in at 10pm. Conclusion to Holiday

Jasper looks very happy to be home!
Cannot believe someone tried to break into the van and your bad luck with the case, thank God you had an honest person. |

Jasper had fun with his new toy. Really glad we got the suitcase back though as it had all the gifts in.
