Donald's Safari Breakfast@Tusker House

This one had a lot to live up to. It was by far my favourite character meal on our last visit.

We had a slightly later adr for 9.20am. It was EMH in the park so we did the safari and then the Pangani Trail and that took us to around 9.10am which was perfect.

We checked in and had about a 30 second wait before we were called in to our table. One major difference from last time was that Donald was no longer outside doing photographs which was disappointing.

We were shown to a great table and our server immediately gave us some jungle juice which is lovely and took other drinks orders. She advised us that we had time to go the buffet before any of the characters would be coming round.

Like last time there was a fantastic choice of food. Cereals, yoghurts, fruits, pastries and cakes (a slight disappointment that Krispy Kreme donuts were now donut holes but I'm being fussy!) bacon, sausage patties, Mickey waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits and sausage gravy. What I love here is the carved ham and tata tots are also on the menu.

It was really nice and we all loaded are plates. Quite shameless really! Our glasses were filled whenever we needed them to be with jungle juice.

The characters came round one by one. It was Daisy, Donald, Mickey and then Goofy. The interaction was great in particular Goofy who must have been drinking his jungle juice that morning as he was very spritely!

The girls were given birthday cakes again as well as cards signed by the characters!

The girls were then given shakers and joined in a procession around the restaurant which they enjoyed.

Again for me this was by far my favourite character breakfast. That was food, characters and location. Lovely all round.

I paid for this one OOP as we were using more credits than we had. It cost a whopping $191 for the 6 of us which I charged to the room using my magic band.

Dino Bites@ Animal Kingdom

A couple of snack credits for me and Evie.

I had the cookie ice cream sandwich. I could choose the ice cream flavour and I chose cookies and cream. This was huge and lovely!

Now for a bit of Disney magic! Evie ordered a Bug Sundae.(ice creame sundae with gummy worms). The server picked up the phone and paused and then said out loud "you got it Mickey!" She then looked at Evie and said that was Mickey on the phone and he noticed Evie's birthday badge so he wanted Evie to have the sundae on him! How nice was that!

McDonalds

Just a small one as you've all seen a McDonald's before.

We went to the one at The Crossroads. I didn't want to go here as there are so many other places to go but the kids really wanted. My mood wasn't improved when I saw a Fuddruckers in the same location.

This was officially the world's slowest McDonalds. Really irritating as it wasn't busy.

I had the Bacon Clubhouse which was nice.

The kids had happy meals and Kelly had a chicken Sandwich which I didn't bother taking photos of. You can tell I didn't want to go here!

Edit. Found some more. I like the kids chips box.

That was great to give your daughter the ice cream for free from Mickey.

If you are in crossroads area again definitely give steak and shake a try - my DD (and me ) love the milkshakes there. Cheaper than mcd too.

I'm loving your report so far - your pics have actually made me reconsider 50's prime time as I wasn't fussed on the menu choices before but your picture of the pot roast looks really nice.

Yes it was really nice. We saw Steak n Shake but it was McDonalds or nothing:angry: When we go again(if) we probably won't do the full ddp so we will be more likely to try a few more offsite places.
