Ooh I loved that caprese flatbread when we were at SSR.

The big pink donut was a big hit with us last year too, split quite nicely between 6 of us.

I am debating whether or not to get a Landry's card, we are only in Orlando for 4 nights this time, and it's Thanksgiving week, but hubby wants to be a bit more 'fly by the seat of our pants' as the last couple of trips have been driven by having DDP and family with us. I'm worried he mighy sulk a bit at being tied to definitely dining at a Landry's restaurant while we are there. I loved Bubba Gump's last time though, and the cocktails were fab

You can use the card at T Rex and Rainforest cafe as well. I'm really glad I got the card.

Thanks for reading!

Golden Corral

Just me, Kelly and the girls for this one. We were en route to Aquatica and stopped at Golden Corral off Vineland. It's the one with Bahama Breeze next to it. On the Dibb all you can eat cheaper breakfast buffets take a bit of a bashing and this is my honest take on our visit. One thing is for certain, theses are great if on a budget.

We arrived about 8.30am and it was pretty quiet inside. There was plenty of seating. You pay for the buffet as you enter which confused me a little at first. It was $8.99 for adults and $6.99 for kids.

We were shown to a table and then we made our way up to the buffet. There was a huge selection of breakfast items. Anything you could think of for breakfast was here and items you'd never think of for breakfast including fried chicken. Before you ask, yes, yes I certainly did have fried chicken for breakfast! Deep fried bacon anyone? Again not amazing pictures as its a buffet.

There were fruits, cereals, yoghurts, omelette station and even a chocolate fountain. We kind of missed that whole section because we headed straight for the hot buffet items. This would have been a much better choice for the girls as they picked at there's. The food itself was ok but we'd been spoiled by the Disney buffets(4 times the price though!). The girls didn't love theirs and were a bit wasteful. I dread to think how much gets wasted at these places.

My plate, note the chicken!

I didn't mind mine at all. I totally get why this is popular choice for many. I think if I'd eaten here a few times on the holiday I'd be dead by now though. Good choice, great price, nice and clean. What more can you ask for? My opinion not the girls!

Fuddruckers

This was a quick grab and go. An unscheduled stop. We had stopped off at the Crossroads for Kelly to run into Goodings supermarket to grab a birthday cake for Evie's birthday. While waiting in the car Fuddruckers was staring me down, I couldn't resist. I got a huff from Kelly as I pleaded to run in grab a burger for the road.

I walked into burger heaven! I was rushing in so I didn't have my camera unfortunately which was in the car. There was a massive toppings bar full of fresh produce and a huge menu. I was in the bad books for coming in here so I didn't hang about. I ordered the girls a cheese burger each, Kelly, annoyed didn't want anything. I panicked a bit and ordered a 1/2 works burger. I should have got a full pound one of these bad boys.

My burger. Not a great picture as it was on my lap in the car!

The girls cheeseburgers

These burgers were great. I'm going to say something I never thought I'd say. Ok here goes. They were better than Five Guys.

When we go back I've got unfinished business with this place!

Glad you liked fuddruckers. We've only been once but DH liked the massive burger he had and I liked the help yourself toppings bar. I wasn't keen on the wedges not fries though.

Hoop De Do Review

This was a first for us, a Disney Dinner show. After much debate on how to get here we decided to drive rather than going to the Magic Kingdom and then getting the boat over. Totally the correct decision. It was 10 minute drive, a 2 minute wait for an internal bus and we were there. Reverse that on the way home. Simple.

We arrived fairly early at Fort Wilderness. We checked in at the podium outside and then had photo pass picture taken before a 20 minute wait for the 6.15pm show.

We were shown to our table where there was corn bread and salad waiting at the table. We were told to dig in and make sure we tossed the salad! The corn bread was nice and the salad tasty, too much carrot in it for my liking though.

Our server came and took drink orders. We had soft drinks and the non drivers had beer and wine which was included in the price. I loved the glasses.

Our sever, I felt was running through the motions and appeared bored. He came and told an unfunny joke and then came back and repeated it 2 minutes later.

In between the food the show started. Lots of singing and dancing, cheesy but enjoyable.

Buckets of food were then brought to the table. They had chicken pieces, ribs, beans and mash. The chicken was nice but the ribs were very tangy. A bit over powering if you ask me. It was all ok though but nothing special. You could ask for more which did with the chicken. Sorry not great photos.

More singing and dancing during the main course and some guests were taken from the audience to take part in the show as well. Some really got into it which was good. One fella in particular get a bigger ovation than the cast!

For desert we were given Strawberry shortcake which was very nice.

Overall we all enjoyed this. I wouldn't pay out of pocket for this and not sure I'd do it again but the kids and especially Den really enjoyed this, so who knows! I guess you have to take the whole experience not just the food.

It was two t/s credits per person with gratuity included in the cost.

IHOP

We had been to an IHOP on our previous trip, the one opposite Wet N Wild. It was a bit run down although the food was ok. We were going to Busch Gardens and decided to grab breakfast before somewhere near when arrived in Tampa. This IHOP was right next to Busch Gardens. Again it wasn't the best looking location I've ever been to and we were a bit unsure as we entered! Think lots of pawn and liquor stores!

We were seated immediately and after a little bit of a wait our drink and food orders were taken.

I had the breakfast sampler sans eggs. It was 2 pancakes, sausage, ham, bacon and hash browns. I enjoyed it.

Kelly had French toast with sides of sausage and hash browns which she said was nice.

Marian and Den had the 55+ Rise and shine, which was eggs, hash browns, toast and either bacon or sausage.

I believe they had the eggs over easy.

Evie and Lily the Rooty Jnr. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and pancake with strawberries. She really enjoyed this.

This cost us around $55. It was a tasty, good value breakfast. Service was a bit slow and location not great though!

This was one of the nicest ring donuts I've ever had! No exaggeration! Try it next time, it won't disappoint xx
