Very nice pics from your BOG lunch
We have a reservation there and was tempted by the beef, but now might go for the turkey! Thanks for posting

Ohana

Time for our final table service meal of the holiday and I'm going to right out say straight away that this meal was a disaster! It was however nothing to do with the food which was lovely. Sorry not amazing photos.

We drove to the Polynesian Resort and like the other places had my Magic Band scanned to gain access. We again made use of the Valet parking at the resort. Our ADR wasn't until 8.05pm but we arrived early so I could use the Wifi to do online check in for our flight home the next day. It really is a nice resort and is on my Bucket List( highly unlikely).

We checked in around 8pm and had around about 15 minutes before we were called in. It's all downhill from now!

We were shown to our table and given the pineapple bread. This was very nice.

For some reason it was pretty deserted around us where we were seated. Only one other table near us had people on it so the atmosphere was non existent. Our server came and introduced himself and took drinks orders. Marian ordered a cocktail and we chose kids meals instead of the Ohana choices for the girls. We rarely saw the server again.

It was now we discovered and I have to be diplomatic here, that Den had the biggest strop on about being here. The problem was that he didn't like it last time. We checked about coming here this time as we all loved it and were told it was fine but it clearly wasn't. Complaints about no butter and no menu started. You don't have butter with this kind of bread and you don't have a menu as its a set meal. These arguments fell on deaf ears. The girls started to play up as well.

Salad was brought to the table as well as the amazing pot stickers and chicken wings. These were so nice. Some really nice dipping sauces accompanied this. We all tucked in bar Den who was refusing to eat. Soon the noodles and broccoli arrived. It wasn't a good atmosphere at the table! Den put a spoonful of noodles on his plate and that was it.

The kids meals came next, hot dogs and fries. The girls were loudly moaning about the fries. They complained they were spicy. They weren't. This was getting quite stressful.

Then the meat started to come round. First the chicken, so pleased this was back, it was lovely. Den refused any. It was then the shrimp which Kelly and Marian had. Evie tried some and enjoyed it. Then the steak, Den flat out refused any but the rest of us tried it. It was really tasty. Marian asked Den if he wanted to try something from the kids menu but was met with a sharp response about not seeing a menu. The girls were fighting. This proved to much for Kelly and she excused her to the restroom. When she returned she was really upset and had lost her appetite. No one else was eating now so that was that! They weren't coming round our table anyway offering any more meat which was disappointing. They only came round once offering meat. In different circumstances I would have complained. I think they were avoiding the bad atmosphere on our table!

A different server came and cleared our table. No words were being spoken now. We were given the desert of banana bread pudding. We all had a bit bar Kelly who didn't want any. She was really upset. This desert was really nice but tainted!

We just wanted to settle up, pay and leave but our server was nowhere to be found. He eventually came with the cheque already in hand. It was such a shame that that was our last table service meal. Again I must reiterate it was nothing to do with the food. We used our final 6 table service credits. Kelly and I have vowed to go again! I'm not having a go at Den by the way. I know he didn't mean it but just telling it how it was!

What a shame... and what's with an adult behaving like a stroppy teenager! The food looks lovely even though you probably didn't enjoy it as much as you should have. Sorry your report is coming to an end it's been so informative and entertaining

I'm sure that everyone has a day/night on holiday were they hit a wall and feel cranky, tired and emotional x
Ohana looks great and I always bypassed it because my eldest wouldn't like the food, but I see your girls had chicken tenders and fries... looks like it might be back on the list!
Maybe even the dinner show, I've read that the fire breather is amazing!

That's it exactly. He didn't mean it but a bit frustrating. I think kids could have hot dog as well but not 100% on that. Thanks for reading.
