Talking ~"Pretty good, show us your balls!" Family Holiday Oct 2015~ **UPDATE 28th Sept - 2 Sleeps to go! **

Introduction
Booked so far

Its Booked! MNSSHP!
Things to Try!
Itinerary - Draft 1
Fast Passes
Fastpasses all done!
Two weeks today!
2 SLEEPS TO GO!

I can't think of a more creative title so for now that will do EDIT - as you can see I have now thought of a title. I hope it doesn't offend anyone! One of our firm family favourites and one ride we will do more than once without fail is Splash Mountain. We also love the music! You know the words... 'How do you do? Fine how are you? How you come on? Pretty good, show us your balls...' that's correct isnt it?

anyhoo...

Hi guys!

Not long to go now so thought I should make a start on my pre-trippy! In fact at time of writing there is 42 days to go!

First up -

The cast!

There is me -

Not usually this dirty - but not far off Im 26, lover of all things Orlando, Disney and American food! This will be my sixth Florida trip.

My lovely other half -

32 - not a Disney fan! but lover of rollercoasters and food! This is his second time to Florida but he only spent a couple of days in Orlando and went to Universal so has yet to experience the wonder of Disney! he will be a fan when we come home I am sure...

One of us together to prove he isn't a random google image search...

My big sis -

35 - basically an older version of me! Loves Disney, Orlando, food and is also really into Harry Potter! much more so than me anyway. This will be her 5th time I think - but the first with the fam for many years!

Mother Bear -

Also loves Disney etc etc and a big Harry Potter fan! Her and sis are very excited about the Wizarding World!

Father Bear -

Not so much a Disney fan but loves the parks, cheap meals at Ponderosa and Daytona Beach!

My crazy family -

I am super duper excited for this trip for many reasons - one being it will be our first Florida holiday as a family in forever! With my sis and I having such a big age gap she was too cool to come on family holidays when she got a bit older so the last few times we went she wasn't there. She also now lives on the other side of the world in Sydney! so I don't get to see her as often as I would like. So we are having one big blowout family holiday and it just so happens it is 20 years since our first ever family holiday to Florida back in 1995. Obviously this time I will be bringing my hubby along to experience all the fun! which he is sooooo excited for... I am trying to entice some enthusiasm out of him but so far he doesnt share my umph!

Lovely photos. Sounds like it will be a great trip especially saying your sister lives so far away.
I'm sure your other half will come back a Disney addict by the end of it. My BF isn't really into Harry Potter but by the end of Forbidden Journey he wanted to see the movies!
We love snowboarding - so loved those photos!
Looking forward to hearing more about your trip.

What we have booked so far!

So far we have all the following organised -

Flights from IOM - Manchester

1 night in appartment in Man City Centre

Flights from MAN - MCO with Thomas Cook (eeeeek this is where it gets exciting! )

Car Hire from Alamo

Accommodation at Orange Lake Resort for 16 nights!

We have two 2-bed villas for us all so plenty of room - this minimizes the chance of us getting on each others nerves!

They are pretty cute and Mum and I have stayed there before - its a fabulous place and so close to everything with great places to eat just outside! I can't wait to go back there!

We have the following attraction tickets -

Disney 14 Day Ultimate Tickets

Universal & Islands of Adventure 14 Day Tickets

Busch Gardens / Sea World / Aquatica 14 Day Tickets

We have also bought Memory Maker to capture all our family moments! I intend to get as many photos as possible!

We also have Frequent Fear Passes for HHN - sooooooooo excited for this! I think we might need to bring spare undercrackers!

I need to book MNSSHP very soon! as we don't want to miss out on that!

It's booked!

Woohoo! We have finally booked our tickets to Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party!

We are going on Tuesday 13th October - any one else going on that day?

This is the first time we have been for Halloween time and I am super excited to experience it! I keep telling my family all about MNSSHP and most of them are excited

we were going to plan our outfits beforehand and order them/make them and just bring them with but we couldn't come up with anything! sooo our new plan is a trip to Walmart and just see what cheapo outfits they have and go for those! So its another little fun activity to do out there - and everyone loves a trip to Walmart!

anyway think thats all for now - its nearly fast pass time though! so will keep you updated!

eeeek its so exciting!

Things to Try!

I have started a list of things I want to try this time in Florida that we haven't done before - you will notice that most are food related

So here goes - don't judge me but I have never tried a Dole Whip! to be honest I had never heard of it before I came to the Dibb!

so I will be trying one on my first day!

Next on the list we are skipping over to Epcot -

School Bread! This looks amazing! I cannot wait to tuck into one of these

and then another place I hadn't heard of and I am kicking myself because it looks like me idea of heaven! Karamell Kuche! I will be making up for lost time in here...

There are also a few restaurants we want to try as follows -

Bahama Breeze - this looks right up our street and we can't wait to try it.

Steak n Shake looks amazing! Will be perfect for a quick and easy evening meal - I LOVE milkshakes! and burgers... and fries...

One for my dad - he is an ale drinker so I think he will love Millers Ale House. And the menu looks fantastic!

One more so far - the one restaurant my DH has requested we go to based on recommendations from a friend is Twin Peaks. I have no idea why... but I guess it must be the menu!

Has anyone got any tips or recommendation for must try/eat things at the parks or outside?
