Buffalo Wild Wings 3099 Formosa Gardens BVD 25 August

We had taken a vote on dinner tonight - I fancied Bahama Breeze ( dammit, I still havent been here yet) , Andy didnt want to drive very far and the kids werent bothered but when BWW was mentioned, it was soon agreed on.

The boys got high on buckets of Mountain Dew

i made the much better choice of a Jack Daddy Burger that was topped with pulled pork - very tasty

Connor and Jamie had the same as last time - they had run out of burger buns so Connor's looked a little odd ..

Jamie kept moving his plate around so blurry pic

He had one of "those" heads on him

Andy went for Wings as it was Wing tuesday - he had 4 types

Honey BBQ
Asian Zing
Hot BBQ
Wild

Learning from last time, he didnt rub his eye with hot sauce still on his hands -now that really does make your eyes water

The receipt says we had garlic mushrooms to start - they must have been nice as they were eaten before there was a piccie !

The bill was $72 including the drinks. Our server Ryan was brilliant - I even stopped at the podium on the way out to mention how brilliant he had been and we left a $20 tip.

Great night , good food.

Simpsons Food Court Universal Studios Wed 26 August

We had skipped breakfast and agreed to meet for an early lunch here

Andy and I arrived early and had a drink in Moe's Tavern with a bartender very knowledgeable about english football !

Connor went for the pizza

Jamie opted for wings

I had the Krusty Burger

Andy had the chilli dog - not that you can see it under the onions

It was ok as fast food goes - we all bought separately and I dont have the receipts - but i think it was between $10-$12 per person with a drink

Andy wasnt very well later that day so either the dog - or the chinese thats coming up - copped the blame !

Panda Express & Whopper Bar Citywalk Wed 26th August

Due to rain delaying play , or in this case, a return to the park , we got all out of kilter for dinner which did mean a few grumps later on and the planned dinner at Bubba Gumps getting canned.

Instead we wound up at the fast food court around 9pm

Andy and I opted for Panda Express

I had the orange chicken with rice - and even the single portion was mahoosive

Andy had the same plus the walnut shrimp and with noodles

just short of $18

The boys opted for a whopper bar - this almost went totally Pete Tong - without his glasses Connor couldnt see the menu, Jamie wouldnt help him and Andy was doing his best smouldering volcano impression. It wasnt helped when said offspring kept asking why he couldnt have a bacon double cheeseburger - well, maybe because its a WHOPPER bar and that 's all they serve for the xxxtttthhh time

Finally boys and burgers were re -united

What can I say, they were BK burgers

See that last line - " have it your way" - unless of course you want a bacon double cheeseburger mate.

Not our finest moment

Club Level Evening Snacks Hard Rock Hotel Wed 26th August

I should have posted this before the evening meals.

We popped in to the Club room for research purposes only - obviously

And bumped into another Dibber whose name I have since shamefully forgotten but hello and it was nice to meet you

That forgetfulness has nothing at all to do with the free Rose wine nor the also free ( consumed later in the evening) Angie's Atomic Apple Pie martini cocktail - thats the on the left by the way - the other one was pretty nice too ( that was a Candied Ginger Martini)

Nothing at all, honestly

Anyhoo - snacks were Wings and mini shepherds pie bites plus cheese and salads - very nice

Ooohhhhh Amanda you're going to all of my favourites! Never tried BBW yet though.

Have to say, since going to Longhorn's for the first time a few years back, we've never returned to Outback

Love me some Flo's Fillet

Wow, so many tasty treats! We too went for a Panda Express at city walk, loved the orange chicken. Friendlies looks so delicious, and those portions! You're right about Caesar salads over there too, they are just so nice. Keep em coming!

Thank you. We booked with only 9 days to go and found getting accommodation quite hard so I used AirBnB and a condo in Windsor Palms came up that met our needs - that is 3 rooms , wifi etc - I had no idea where the resort was but the AirBNB listing showed pics of the resort pool and listed the facilities so we booked it. I then looked at the mapman's map and saw it was near all those places I have seen in so many other trippies so it was nice to be in the area and see what it has to offer.

As we didnt do the Disney Parks it wasnt an ideal location - further up the I92 would have suited us really but the Formosa Gardens complex was great and we did make use of it

We did like the resort complex - we made use of the pool a few times and there was a games room and small store. Also a small cinema. It was fine for us as we didnt need our own pool ( the boys prefer ipads to swimming these days) but enough space to chill out in. Will post lots of pics of the condo and resort in my trippie in the coming week x

thank you - is it bad that such a cheap chinese tastes so blinking good ! ?

We struggled with the portions - in the last two days the boys didnt want to eat out much at all , they just said they were " fooded out".

As a healthy (cough, not really) alternative to the loaded potato, may I suggest the sweet potato? It's oomphed up with cinnamon and brown sugar and was surprisingly yummy
