My recommendation at the plaza would be the chess steak sandwich. I remember it being soooooo good. Yummy milk shakes too.

The QSDP plus the ADRs you've made sounds like plenty of food already and some of the places you're going aren't great "value" as table service credits go in my opinion. There's a few other places you could try though if you want to do it, for example the new Tiffins restaurant in AK . A Rivers of Light dining package might be a good idea if you decide to do the regular DP. I believe this will be available at Tusker House as well.
Thanks for your input - in the end I have decided just to stick with the QSDP. The DDP just doesn't work for me this trip and I think I just have to accept that! I may still consider a ROL dining package nearer the time when it becomes clear how beneficial they'll actually be - I wish Disney would hurry up and release more details! I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be for the people going this month who still don't know what the opening hours, ROL times will be for AK!

Thank you, excitement and nerves are increasing daily lol! Every time I get too nervous I just close my eyes and imagine I'm on the Peoplemover it's like a meditation excersise!

I LOVE milkshakes and I'd really like to order one here! DFiance always gets one at Beaches and Cream, but sadly I never seem to have the stomach capacity

'Final' ADR decisions

So, following on from my last update where I was seriously considering upgrading to the DDP, I just wanted to post again to confirm that I've decided not to go for it in the end. I want to do it, but the numbers just do not work out on it for me this time around! I am still doing some ADRs though and here's the 'final' list of what I've got. I say 'final', but you know... I mean final for now anyway...

Sep 7th - Trails End breakfast
Sep 9th - Kona Cafe dinner
Sep 10th - Hollywood Brown Derby lunch
Sep 11th - Coral Reef lunch
Sep 12th - Liberty Tree Tavern lunch
Sep 14th - The Plaza dinner
Sep 15th - Yak and Yeti lunch
Sep 18th - Trails End dinner
Sep 20th - Boma breakfast

So, for now, that's how I'm going to leave things. Only one of the restaurants is a new one for me and I'm a little disappointed in myself for not trying some more new things... but these are favourites for a reason, and if it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Oh, also, although I'm eating at the Brown Derby it's to have the delicious cobb salad - so it won't be as pricey a meal as it might suggest when you see it listed there!

One thing I did want to mention is that it doesn't always work trying to book an ADR for 'one'. Trails End for both breakfast and dinner showed 'no availability' when I tried to book to eat solo . Not one single time slot at either meal service! So, in the end I had to book for a party of two to eat there - and of course, every time slot was wide open! Beaches and Cream was the same (though I have now cancelled the ADR). So just to make other solo travellers aware; sometimes the system just doesn't like a 'party of one'.

Sorry this was a rather quick update, but I wanted to tie up the loose ends before updating about my QS meal choices - should have that up tonight or tomorrow!

QS meals planned so far... Part One

So, 14 nights of QSDP. 28 QS credits. Wow. Where to start?!

It's funny because when I sat down to plan this ages ago, as a start point, I immediately wrote down 'Pecos Bills x3' and thought OK, so that's a definite; I'd always want to eat there a few times... Then Disney completely changed the menu Back to square one then!

I can't think of much of a way to structure this, so erm, here's a jumbled list of the QS restaurants I plan to eat at:

Earl of Sandwich
Ideally I'd like to eat here on arrival night as it would help me to not fall asleep if I was, you know, in a large shop and not my hotel room! Not sure how I'll be though as I probably have been awake for 19 hours by the time I get to my hotel room
Even if I don't make it that night, I'll definitely head in at some point - the Holiday Sandwich might be the best thing I ate on my last trip.

Sunshine Seasons x2
Not only am I confident in saying I'll eat here twice, I also know exactly what I'm going to order both times. (The turkey sandwich with Key Lime pie for dessert the first time, and the chicken and black beans followed by a brownie the second time.. in case anyone was wondering

Columbia Harbour House x2
Not eaten here in a few years thanks to my fiance inconsiderately developing a severe shellfish allergy  Still, I'm excited to go back - I have fond memories of the place.

Be Our Guest - lunch
I've previously only done BOG for dinner, so not sure exactly what to expect lunch to be like but I figure since I'm on the QSDP anyway that it's worth a shot. (And worth trying so I know if it's worth paying OOP for on future trips!)

Be Our Guest - breakfast x2
Currently have two reservations for this, not 100% sure I'll keep both. Seems like pretty good value on the QSDP - but I do pretty long days in the park as it is; I'm not sure adding in pre-RD ADRs is such a wise move!

Everything Pop - breakfast x3
Not a great use of a credit money wise, but given my love of Mickey waffles and bacon it is so, soooo worth it for me! Plus, having never had a QS breakfast at Disney I'm pretty excited for the whole foodcourt experience!

Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe x2
I love eating here (aside from the lack of air con in the seating area!). The kind of food makes a nice break from some of the more typical QS offerings and I've always found the portions to be HUGE here!

Boardwalk Bakery
Not completely sure on this one. Basically I want to do a QS in that area and this seems like the better option over the QS at Beach Club etc. They have sandwiches on the menue and I love a sandwich so I'm sure I'll enjoy it fine. Anyone eaten there before?

Cosmic Rays
Only eaten here once and wasn't hugely enamoured (felt very loud and canteen-y to me), but since the destruction of the heaven that was Pecos Bills , this is now where I need to come to get my beloved pulled pork sandwich!

I'll leave this hear now as frankly looking through all the food pics is making me hungry! Part Two will be up soon!
