Airport Hotel Booked!
Yesterday we booked our hotel for the night before we fly at Manchester Airport. We stayed in a business class room at the Radisson last year for only £40 due to the points Lewis had accumulated on a business stay in London back in 2014, but the prices for a standard room for this October were over £160 which we thought was just too much.
I was browsing booking.com yesterday though and out of curiosity searched for the Radisson. To my surprise, a standard room came up at £116 and I booked it then and there (through TopCashback, too!) So that's another thing off our list. We're really looking forward to staying there again, it was such an easy morning with the hotel actually being in the airport!

MNSSHP & ADR Changes
We booked our tickets for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party yesterday! Prices were much higher than what I'd expected at $91 each, but since we're not doing Universal we don't have that expense this year. So I justified it
We will be attending the party on the 13th and the 16th October, and myself and Lewis have already decided on our costumes - Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde from Zootopia! Also I'm still undecided on whether to do police Judy or farmer Judy. I think farmer Judy would be friendlier to me in the heat! We've also made a few changes to our ADR list. I love watching The Happiest Vlogs on Earth on YouTube and their video on the Yachtsman Steakhouse had me convinced that we needed to do this. So I shuffled around our current plans and now our list looks like this (I will replace with my fancy spreadsheet later tonight ) October 5th - Crystal Palace 9:25am October 6th - Chefs de France 6:00pm October 7th - Grand Floridian Cafe 10:00am October 7th - California Grill 7:30pm October 8th - Sanaa 7:00pm October 9th - Yachtsman Steakhouse 6:40pm October 10th - Yak & Yeti 1:00pm October 11th - Beaches and Cream 12:10pm October 11th - Via Napoli 6:05pm October 12th - Jiko 6:00pm October 13th - Kona Cafe 1:10pm October 14th - Raglan Road 8:30pm October 15th - Trattoria al Forno 6:00pm October 16th - Left blank for Food and Wine snacks! October 17th - Be Our Guest 8:45am October 17th - Ohana 5:45pm We're going to be doing Beaches and Cream, Grand Floridian Cafe and Via Napoli out of pocket, as we figured those three would be the cheapest. We've also sacrificed Skippers Canteen as you can't reserve in advance. With the rumours afloat of them changing the menu to something less adventurous, we figured we'd rather eat somewhere else. In other news, I've been having a pretty rubbish week at work and my Timehop has been torturing me. This time last year we were spending our first full day in Florida, and this this time two years ago we were flying to Florida My countdown can't move fast enough, I wanna go back now!

My Timehop is torturing me too. This time last year we'd just left Orlando and were roadtripping to New Orleans
LOVE that you're going as Judy and Nick! x

I can't wait! I've ordered my wig & ears and am hoping to get some purple contacts closer to the time. I'm thinking I might go as Farmer Judy though as I think the costume will be nicer to me in the heat x

A Few Updates!
It's been almost a month since my last update Time is flying! I can't believe that we'll be back in just over 4 months. I spent most of May thinking about how "this time last year we were in Disney World doing..." but me and Lewis also celebrated 7 years together!
We didn't do anything half as exciting as Disney World but we did have a super nice meal at Miller and Carter in Newcastle. We also got through the letter of confirmation to say that we're eligible for the house that we're buying! It's on the affordable housing scheme so we had to send through a separate form to see if we qualify. The house should be released in July/August (at the same time we need to pay off Florida, eek! ) and hopefully this time next year it'll all be built and we would have been living there for 2 months! In other news, I have also had a bit of a hair change. You know when you just get totally fed up and are desperate for something different? Well I decided to pop to the hairdressers for the first time in over 7 years and get it done purple. I ended up slightly disappointed though, because the purple pretty much left my hair after one wash and I've had to re-colour it! I then decided to go one step further and cut myself a fringe. I've had a side fringe for years now and I was sick of moving it out my face, so here is the finished result! I really quite like it (also pardon the pose-y photo!) Anyhoo, back to Florida related things! Today I applied for our ESTAs, since our old ones expired a few months back. I don't remember the process being that long winded last time though, wonder if they've changed it? Thankfully both are approved and ready to go We also made yet more tweaks to our ADRs. Having gone through our plans, we realised that on all of the nights we were in the Hollywood Studios area we had dining reservations at like 6pm. This obviously does not work out for watching things like Fantasmic and the new Star Wars fireworks, since the park closes at around 7:30pm. So we decided the best course of action would be to change our Yachtsman and Trattoria al Forno rezzies to 9:15pm. We don't mind eating a bit later and figured if we get hungry earlier we'll just grab a snack.
