Day 5 – Tuesday 1st December – Fun filled day in Magic Kingdom and Dinner at T-Rex

After a busy day yesterday, Mason woke at 6 for his morning milk, but then we all managed to go back to sleep in our huge bed until 8.30am, lovely lie in!

We had cereal and fruit in the room for breakfast, and were then all ready and on the bus to Magic Kingdom by 10.30am. It was nice to not be rushing this morning, our first FP was booked for 11-12 so perfect timing.

Once we arrived at the bus stop, we very happily marched along to the music to the park gates, very pleased to be back at the Magic Kingdom!

Our first stop was to meet Mickey, and this was the only character meet Mason was not sure on... He didn't like talking Mickey, so I had to pick him up.


The photographer told us to say cheese, Mickey said "Parmesan!" Mummy found it funny haha.

We then decided to do some rides before lunch, first ride as is our tradition, was It's a Small World, Mason was mesmerised!



I know lots of people don't like IASW, but to watch Mason's face and see him tapping his foot to the song is just amazing for me! Will always be a must do for us

Next up we had a FP for Peter Pan, Mason noticed I had grown some extra ears in the line!


Another classic ride

As we were leaving Peter Pan, Mason spotted the carousel so that was our next stop.


He enjoyed this!



We were starting to get hungry now, so walked over to our favourite QS in MK, Pecos Bills. The menu changes were announced just before our trip, but we were really surprised how much we enjoyed it here again. Mason is a big rice fan so it was great for him too, and I still love the toppings bar!

We both had Fajita Platter - with barbacoa beef, chicken, cilantro rice, beans, and tortilla which we shared with Mason, he particularly liked the rice and cheese


This meal was very tasty, and also great value we thought. Will definitely come back here next trip.

It was now time for our last FP of the day, the eagerly awaited meet and greet with Anna and Elsa, a new one for Scott and I too!

But it seems he prefers brunettes...

And then Anna, which is one of my favourite character meets of the holiday, Mason loved her!

Seems it is hard work meeting Princesses, our little Prince was asleep almost as soon as he sat in his pushchair.


Which meant Scott and I were able to find a good spot on Main Street ready for the parade, we enjoyed the rest and the Dapper Dans who were singing near by. Perfect!

Mason woke up to the marching band just before the parade, which was great timing as it meant he got to watch the parade





He was very excited to spot Minnie and Mickey, and then Donald at the end.

Now Mason was raring to go after his nap it was time to head to Tomorrowland, stopping to admire the castle



First stop was the Peoplemover, which Mason found fun!


And then he spotted Buzz so we got in line to meet him. Mason liked pressing his buttons, Buzz pressed his button nose in return hehe.



Then we walked round to Fantasyland and met Daisy, Mason loved her crystal ball! (Mummy was worried it would fall over!)

The sun was now starting to set which is so pretty over the castles, we took a few photos before we had to leave Magic Kingdom.



Magic Kingdom looks fab all set for Christmas!


We decided to ride the monorail to the Contemporary, stopping to capture this sunset over the Grand Floridian, stunning!


And then we waited for the bus from here to Disney Springs ready for our ADR at T-Rex tonight. We had a bit of a wait with many other buses arriving but eventually we were on our way, and checked in for dinner.

Scott and I have never eaten here, but thought it would be fun for Mason with lots to look at. It did not disappoint, the theming is amazing!





We were sat right next to the aquarium which was fab, Mason enjoyed looking at the fish while we waited for our food.

It was quite cold in here, lucky we had brought Mason a long sleeved top from Target the other day (And the favourite things that go book is out again!)


We ordered Mason a children's lasagne, with a side of corn (Mummy always tries to give him veggies, even on holiday! )



Scott had Doublesaurus Burger - A true carnivore's choice. Two 100% beef burger patties piled high with a fried onion ring, lettuce, tomato, pickles and cheese and added bacon and waffle fries


I had Paleozoic Chicken Sandwich - grilled chicken, lettuce, bacon, pepper jack cheese, avocado, tomato and lemon aioli and waffle fries


We enjoyed the waffle fries, and Scott thought the burger was one of the best he has had in WDW

Overall, a great meal, and another we would return to in the future. Yes it is noisy, but with a toddler we are used to that, and if Mason decides to shout and scream it wasn't a problem!

With no room for dessert, we paid our bill and rode the bus back to ASMu, and were all soon tucked up in bed after another fabulous day in the magic! The memories of Mason meeting the characters will never leave us, worth every single penny.

Ahh, what a lovely day again. Mason looks so happy in all the photos and you got loads done.

I like the look of the menu at T-Rex but have always been put off by how loud the restaurant is.
