Triple Treat Tour July 2016 Day 13 Outlets and Outback

The previous day is HERE

Friday 15 July

I woke up today with that sinking feeling

You know the one

This time next week …. I wont be here

That’s when you feel the clock ticking

When its single digits left on the holiday

But enough of the self pity stuff

We all had a lie in and in between a dip in the pool and generally lazing around we made a couple of bookings for next week

Should have done these earlier as slots were pretty limited for the airboat ride – didn’t think it would be so busy !

The boys surfaced around lunchtime but just wanted to have a quiet day at home so we agreed that we would sort out lunch for them and leave them to it while we went out and about

They had pizza and garlic rolls that we had got in Walmart

We decided to start at the furthest point so at 1.45 we set off to Florida Mall to have a nose around.

Andy was browsing in the Apple store while I went off for a light lunch – as we had promised the teens we would be back to take them out for dinner

The food court is bigger than our local Tesco. It was overwhelming

I wanted a Five Guys but the queue was humungous.

So we had sandwiches, one tuna salad and one rotisserie chicken

I couldn't tell them apart at first. And I have new glasses. It must be a post cocktail effect.

Then I worked out the chicken one was warm.

I know.

It's been a long holiday.

My brain has slowed down.

These were nice. But salty. Everything here is so salty.

And I didnt realise they came with all the mayo stuff. I don't like mayo. It wasnt in the description.

But once I forensically removed it, the chicken was nice.

$ 11 for both of them .

From here we went on to Pointe Orlando, specifically for the Tommy Hilfiger outlet that I had read about in abiknox’s trippie.

It was incredibly quiet

It cost $4 to park but was well worth it for the bargains we picked up

A lovely silk top for me $10

Polo top for me $10

Cami top $5

Slouchy cardi for me $10

And then we got lots of socks that were $4 or $5 per pack

just a few there

It’s a lovely peaceful store and some fantastic reductions

From there we headed off to the Stores that are just along the road from the I Drive outlets, opposite Artegon ( or what was Festival Bay)

There is a big CK, Nike , TH and Levis here – all were lovely and quiet

I got some jeans that were on 50% off so $50 for two pairs

Didn’t buy so much in Calvin Klein this year

Just a top for me $17

And some PJ trousers for Jamie $9

We had pretty much had enough by now but another good day

At 6.30 we set off for home , the sky was looking ominous and it started with a big storm

It just got darker and darker and the traffic was horrendous – forgot that it was Friday night on the I4 and 192

We had called the boys to be ready for 7 …. Well that came and went and we finally reached Formosa Gardens at 7.45

The plan had been to go to Longhorns tonight but after being stuck in traffic for an hour and then a torrential downpour, we decided that going to Outback would be better as it is so close.

Andy dropped me off so I could bag a table while he picked up the boys

I had another blackberry martini . Very nice.

Connor had the sirloin

I had filet with shrimps and bearnaise ( which I donated to Andy). Pic a bit glary.

Nick had chicken tacos , but with no extras so basically chicken and cheese .

Andy had rare prime rib

Jamie had chicken tenders, which he insisted on waving in front of the camera

I also had a strawberry parfait .. Pic same as in New York

I will re take a pic of the bill as this one a bit crummy. It was $132 inc drinks.

Much nicer than we expected and turned out to be the best prime rib overall

Just a shame that the Outback doesn’t do wifi

We made a quick stop at the Winn Dixie round the corner to pick up coffee, milk and some more cakes and were back home by 10 to listen to the storm rattling around.

The teens said they had enjoyed having a quiet day and we had enjoyed being able to nip around a load of different shops with no hassle

Regular readers may be thinking – whats going on here , Where are Andys trainers and multitudinous tee shirts

Well, fear not, he was eyeing up lots of stuff which was purchased in the last few days so normal shopping service resumes shortly ….

The next day is HERE

You do find the best Tommy Hillfiger bargains

We have to visit Outback each trip, it's one of our traditions as me and DH first ate there in 1996.

Loving your report X

I'm starting to wonder how many extra suitcases will you have on your way back to the UK with all these bargains. I love a bargain but rarely find them.

Well that's Pointe Orlando added to DD's list of places to spend her $s. Can't believe your bargains. And $4 for a cocktail?

I do know the feeling as you are nearing the end of your holiday and trying to think what else you want to fit in before heading home. Just have to make the most of every moment x

Yes we always do well at TH. That outlet at Pointe was brilliant. I wore the cardi on Saturday, it's so soft . I cant believe I needed it in August

Outback definitely impressed us this trip. I loved my martinis and parfait

thank you for reading x

Lol, only the two cases ... And we even had a few kilos to spare as the boys only took one piece of hand luggage . It's hard shopping with boys in tow. I am lucky in that Andy loves shopping and we can go on our own , means we are not rushed.

Yes$4 cocktail is probably bargain of the trip not enough dresses this trip though, just the three. I don't need any more jumpers though

We had all those lazy days then three park trips in a row. I blame the planner myself
