Wow, some great food (apart from the flight), your breakfast at the diner looked absolutely amazing. x

Day 1 (Thanksgiving): Duane Reade Snacks We popped into Duane Reade to pick up something sweet as on the walk back to the hotel I decided I had room for dessert. Nothing too exciting just a small tub of Häagen-Dazs strawberry ice cream. It was nice though. I think Andy had some crisps we had back in the room as he doesn't have much of a sweet tooth.

Day 2 (Andy's Birthday ): Duane Reade Breakfast The night before on the ice cream run we grabbed a couple of muffins from DR for breakfast. It was really rather dry and horrible. No chocolate chips inside the muffin & it was made with some sort of wholegrain flour and didn't have a nice taste at all.

Day 2 (Andy's Birthday ): Levain Bakery 167 West 74th St. We had walked passed Levain Bakery the previous day but of course it was closed for Thanksgiving. We couldn't come to New York and not get a cookie so we went back in the morning. We chose 2 of our favourite from last trip - Chocolate chip walnut. These are the best cookies ever! Served warm with melty chocolate *drool*. We sat in Central Park and ate them on a bench watching the world whizz by - I remember thinking what a great day to be alive lol! I think these were around $4 each which is an absolute bargain.

Day 2 (Andy's Birthday ): Hotdog Stand After visiting the MET museum we were peckish (in our defence we had only eaten half of our Levain cookies and saved the other half for later). We grabbed a hot dog from one of the stalls right outside the steps. Very tasty actually, cheap & filled a hole! What more do you need?

Day 2 (Andy's Birthday ): Dylan's Candy Bar Cocktails 1011 Third Ave (at 60th St.) We popped over to Dylan's Candy bar for some Birthday cocktails! It's such a cool place, I could honestly live there! There is candy in the floor & on the walls. Downstairs is the main retail store & upstairs is ice cream take outs and the candy *bar* (geddit?) complete with cupcake seating areas! The whole place smells like vanilla too! We had a selection and all were great! This looks like the Nerdy Mojito. House-infused Bacardi NerdsŪ Rum, mint, lime & a splash of soda with purple Nerds. Chocoholic. Whipped Vodka, Van Gogh Dark Chocolate Vodka, Creme de Cacao & a touch of cream. I don't know what this one is sadly as it's no longer on the menu.

Day 2 (Andy's Birthday ): Pig 'n' Whistle Irish Bar 922 3rd Ave As we were passing on the way back towards Times Square, Andy requested we pop into the Pig 'n' Whistle which we randomly spotted. We had previously been to the branch the street over from the Rockerfeller Centre and enjoyed it. It was really cute and they had all fairy lights up. We grabbed something to share from the bar "pub food" menu as the earlier hot dogs hadn't done much to soak up the cocktails Fried Mozzarella Balls with spicy tomato dipping sauce. These were really good, the cheese was flavourful and stringy. I particularly loved the spicy tomato dip which helped cut through the richness.
