Think I would eat everything in those snack pictures

Have to say the cinamon roll & the carrot cake would be my favourites

Les Chefs de France

So those of you who know us know that we go here every year for lunch, boring but safe I hear you say, "if it aint broke don't fix it, I reply".

DH ordered the cheese plate as usual, but this year it was a little different in what it consisted of and its presentation... in previous years it had seemed as if it was simply a white china plate with a babybel, a dairylea and a lettuce leaf! DH really enjoyed it, and the endless hot fresh baguettes and butter that are provided to every table:

I decided to try a new entry, the salade de chevre chaud, a baked goats cheese salad (endives and arugula) with walnuts, grapes and tomatoes, although I should have asked for the dressing on the side as they were a bit liberal with it. It was pretty good actually, and at $11.99 I will probably just order that when we go in August, as with the french baguette it's more than enough for a meal at lunch.

DD1 had the cheese puff pastry, an appetiser on the kids menu. Don't know of many under 9's that would be able to eat this just as a starter, even at 11 she didn't stand a chance!

Now again I decided to be a bit different here, choosing the grilled salmon with crushed potatoes, butter and chive with tomato and red pepper sauce, very tasty and beautifully presented

DH had the mahi sandwich, substituting a brioche roll for the mediterranean bread, and without the peppers etc

DD1 and possibly DD2 (can no longer remember) had the kids flounder, substituting fries for tomatoes

we only ordered 2 desserts here as we still had lots of snack credits to use and fancied a mint choc chip ice cream sundae rather than the puds here which we've mostly had before.

DH ordered the seasonal sorbets

whilst the 3 of us picked at the strawberry shortcake dessert with sorbet

another good meal at Chefs, we did get a visit from Remy again, always nice to see him

Silly photo alert

DH's vision of how the cheese plate would have looked if Disney had opened in the UK.

This would be a photo from "Les Chefs de Rainham Marshes"
