Chefs de France is confirmed as the meal I am most looking forward to on our next trip. The problem is I can't choose from the menu! There are so many dishes which appeal to me! I think I'll have to order for the kids so I can share theirs !

Cheese plate looked lovely (well the one from chefs de France anyway) & I love goats cheese but much prefer my walnuts in moderation. Never tried chefs de France but looks very nice but there appears to be more delights culinary or otherwise for the ladies.

I hope you enjoy it Jojo We've eaten there a good few times now and have always had good food, service and an enjoyable time.
It is worth a try, Paul, and yes, I'm a sucker for French accents Thanks so much Andrea, I'm hoping to do 3 or 4 right now as we are actually going out again on a last minute cheeky trip next week (booked last Tuesday) |

Kona Cafe
Kona cafe is a firm favourite of ours, it's not as relaxed as the Grand Floridian Cafe, probably because of where it's situated by the entrance to the Polynesian, but that doesn't stop us from returning for good quality food again and again. This is a smoothie that's available as a drink on the DDP And we were delighted to find that the sweet potato bisque was both veggie and vegan but it seems to have been taken off the menu now. Anyhow, it was very tasty, didn't try the salted crackers that came with it: This was one of the occasions where DH's choice was better than mine, he ordered the Sustainable Fish served with Swiss Chard, Forbidden Rice, and Hibiscus-Beurre Rouge, I tried a little and it was outstanding: I had the tuna with coleslaw and sweet potato fries, (Grilled Ahi Tuna Sandwich served with Pickled Vegetable Slaw on our Pineapple Bread with Sweet Potato Fries). It was tasty, but was not in the same league as DH's entree DD1 chose the noodles with tofu (Pan-Asian Noodles Yakisoba Noodles, Wok-seared with Vegetables and your choice of Chicken or Tofu in a Ginger-Garlic Sauce). The last time we had tried this dish at Kona the sauce was different and very sickly/sweet. The garlic/ginger sauce is so much better...this was a really nice dish and recommended for vegetarians DD2 had kids pasta with tomato sauce For dessert we had a selection of Kona's take on a chocolate torte, the Kilauea Torte An explosion of warm liquid Chocolate inside Chocolate Volcano, very rich and very delicious The Kona Cone, so novel Kids fruit salad Really good meal here |

Coral reef
We've always eaten well at Coral Reef, but it's not somewhere I'd go if I was paying for it as opposed to it being on the "free" dining plan. DH would probably say differently, I'm not sure So we'll begin with the bread rolls, they were hot, fresh and tasty DH had the ceasar salad I had high hopes for the fish tacos, but the tacos were fried not soft and cooked in the same oil as shellfish so I had the filling not the tacos. Wouldn't recommend this TBH, I like my fish tacos to have pieces of fish, not for it to be minced up in a pate like consistency. I can see it's now been taken off the menu, a wise move on Disney's part I think: We all had the Grilled Mahi Mahi, (but without the shrimp), it comes with hearts of palm, Jasmine Rice, Cilantro, and a Coconut-Lime Sauce, and is a solid choice: Desserts were a selection of creme brulee: The chocolate wave, with raspberry I assume this was the Coconut-Mango Chiffon Cake with Raspberry Sauce, but I seem to remember mango and passion fruit mousse, so perhaps it's changed now?: And strangely it seems that DD2 had apple slices |
