I woke up at 4am and could not get back to sleep, I was far too excited to get to Magic Kingdom! I got up and had a shower. Ross woke up when I got out of the shower, he looked at the clock and basically asked me what the frick I was doing up at that time of the morning! I did some unpacking then got dressed and sorted while Ross watched some TV. I painted my nails Minnie Mouse style while Ross got up and sorted. We were out the room by 6:40am, it was still a little bit chilly but it wasn’t too bad. There was nobody about to ask what buses we needed to get so we just got a taxi to the TTC which cost $40 plus $5 tip.

We changed our booking forms for actual tickets then headed over to the ferry. Ross was the first to spy the castle. We got Richard F. Irvine over to the park. We stood on the top deck at the front so I could get a good view of the castle getting closer and closer!



We watched the rope drop show, I had a huge smile on my face... Ross’ face looked scared and confused! I don’t think he really knew what to make of it! It really was throwing him in at the Disney deep end, singing and dancing happy happy etc! Bless him! We were straight in at 8am, it was really quiet! First thing we did was get Ross a first timers badge at City Hall although I had to wear one as well or Ross wouldn’t wear his, spoil sport! I then went to the stall just opposite City Hall and got some Minnie Ears and a pen for my autographs. I was going to make Ross get a cap with Goofy ears but he was already a bit out of his comfort zone so he just got a blue cap with Mickey on.

Speaking of Mickey, we went straight over to Main Street Theatre to see the main man. Only waited a couple of mins before we were in.



Then we headed up main street getting lots of photopass pics on the way!


First Land we stopped at was Adventureland. I can’t believe how quiet it was! There was nobody about! It was really warm by now as well. Our first ride was Pirates which was a walk on, so was Jungle Cruise. Brian was our skipper, he was really funny.

We moved onto Frontierland and went to Big Thunder Mountain which was a walk on as well. We then went to the central hub have a proper look at the castle and got some pics of it and the statue.



Time for breakfast! We had a 9:45 at Crystal Palace. We were given a buzzer but we only waited about 5 mins for it to go off. Our server was Manny, he was a really nice guy. I got some bacon, sausage, potatoes and gravy, Ross got the same plus an omelette. The food was great, wasn’t too keen on the bacon, too crispy, but everything else was great! It wasn’t long before Eeyore came shortly followed by Piglet then Tigger.



Ross went up to get us ‘dessert’ of mickey waffles, strawberries and French toast...yummy! Then Pooh finally came. We got the bill which was $48.97, we left $60.


We headed over to Liberty Square and met Princess Tiana on the way, Ross didn’t want his pic taken, he’s too cool to be seen with Princesses apparently!

Haunted Mansion was a walk on although we did spend a while in the queue looking at all the grave stones and things.
Splash Mountain had a 25min wait so we got our first fast passes of the trip then headed over to Tom Sawyer Island and had a nice walk round.

Headed back to Splash and used our fast passes which made it a walk on for us. We both got a bit wet, I was miffed that my hair got wet as I knew the frizz would follow but hey you go on a water ride you can't complain when you get wet!


On our way out we spotted Woody and Jessie, we waited about 15mins to see them. They were sooo funny! Woody tried to scribble out Jessie’s face in my autograph book so she gave him a wet willy. Woody then did an impression of Mickey Mouse on Ross’ tshirt, they were really great!


Next was Philar Magic which was a walk on. We found an autograph book on the floor on the way out so handed it in at the shop on the way out, I really hope it found it’s way back to it’s owner, I would be gutted if I had lost mine!

I wanted to go on Peter Pan but it was a 55min wait so we left it for another day. We walked through Storybook Circus to Tomorrowland and got a fastpass for Buzz. We were about to head back up Main Street to Tony’s Town Square for our lunch at 2:45 but we met PUSH on the way and he started chatting to Ross, which ended up drawing in a crowd! He asked Ross if I was his girlfriend and how long we had been dating, he then told him that it was about time he made an honest woman of me and demanded he proposed right then and there and to get him in the mood he played a bit of Whitney Houston and then the Wedding March. Unfortunately Ross refused to play along because he’s such a spoil sport! He asked Ross for a high 5 so Ross pushed his swinging lid thing with the palm of his hand, PUSH was not impressed with this, saying ‘That’s my face Dude! This isn’t Facebook you can’t poke me man!’ I told him we really had to go or we would be late for lunch so he asked us for hug before we went, he said Ross’ was an awkward sideways hug and made him give him another one! Only in Disney can you have a 10min conversation with a bin, then give it a hug and it be perfectly normal! I was gutted I didn’t film our encounter with PUSH but I didn’t even think about it until after. I also found out how he works but I won’t spoil it for anybody who doesn’t know!

We had to run to Tony’s but we got there just in time! We were seated in 5mins and our server was Nadia. I had Meetball Sliders which were like mini burgers and Ross had Canaloni. The food was great, really really nice even though I couldn’t finish mine again! The total bill was $37.77, we left $45.




Went on Buzz, Ross won that game. We got the ride pic on our photopass then went outside to meet the man himself. We waited for about 10mins to see him.



Space Mountain had a bit of a queue so we got FP and went on Monsters Inc which was really funny, I tried to text in a joke but it wouldn’t work unfortunately!

We went to watch the 5pm flag ceremony which was a really nice thing to see. Then we went to Main Street Theatre to meet the Princesses, Cinderella, Ariel and Aurora. We waited for a long time to see them! I think it was our longest wait for anything the whole holiday! Again Ross was too cool to meet them so he took some pics instead.


We had to run to Space but it had broken down anyways! Typical.
We headed towards the exit stopping for lots of photopass on the way out.


It was 7:30 by the time we left and got the ferry back to TTC. I genuinely couldn’t believe we lasted so long on our first full day, I was expecting to go leave after lunch but I just didn’t get tired at all, must have been the excitement and adrenaline keeping me going! We got the Lynx 50 bus back to Seaworld then flagged a taxi back to the hotel. We got some food in the hotel shop to eat in the room because we weren’t all that hungry. When we got back to the room we saw some big firework show in the distance so we watched that. Might have been from Universal Studios but I’m not too sure really! We were asleep by 9:30.

Well done for having such a full on first day, looking forward to reading some more.
