Taxi! (3rd time lucky) - Sept/Oct 2013 *COMPLETE*

Hi all,

Well, we have been back from our wonderful holiday to Orlando for just over a month now and I finally have the time and feel “ready” to write up my first trip report. I was a bit depressed to come back on at first, but since I got a new countdown I'm back in full force!

So this year, 3rd time lucky, we knew what the expect a lot more. I did A LOT more planning thanks to the Dibb. I had a daily itinerary, even obsessed for weeks to book the dessert party. We were truly into the swing of all things WDW now.

So - onto this year!
Me & my OH - We booked a package through Thomson 24th Sept - 8th Oct flying Thomson on the Dreamliner, staying at the Rosen Inn at Pointe. We didn’t hire a car and travelled pretty much everywhere in a taxi. Previous years on the bus, taking over an hour to get to Disney was just too much to bear.

Having strived to do absolutely everything(!) last year, this was a more relaxed holiday where we felt we could miss some things out and take things at our own pace. I will warn you that neither of us are particularly Disney nuts, we don’t do characters or parades so no photos of these sorry

Without much further ado:

Day 0 - Travel Day Outbound
Day 1 - SeaWorld & Penguins Up Close
Day 2 - Epcot/ DTD
Day 3 - IoA & Universal Studios
Day 4 - Animal Kingdom
Day 5 - Magic Kingdom/ DTD
Day 6 - Typhoon Lagoon/ Outlet Shopping
Day 7 - Busch Gardens & Serengeti Safari Tour
Day 8 - Hollywood Studios/ Epcot
Day 9 - Chill Day/ Halloween Horror Night
Day 10 - Chill Day/ Universal & Cinema
Day 11 - I-Drive/ DTD/ MK Dessert Party
Day 12 - Aquatica
Day 13 - Universal & IoA
Day 14 - Travel Day home time

Thanks to anybody that reads

My hubby to be is the same as your bf was - not all that excited by our upcoming trip and hates crowds and queues. Hope he gets the bug too! What's not to love!?

I know right?! I think once anybody gets over there they turn into a big kid and just get right into it.

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time and hubby will be raring to go back.

It's to good to hear about someone else that doesn't hire a car when they are there. Can you tell me what taxi company you used and roughly how much it cost you? I go to Orlando in February and we have been trying to decided between just getting taxis or getting the bus.
