Tortuga Tavern @ Magic Kingdom

We both had the same thing for lunch today...beef nachos. They were yum and huge after I'd made good use of the toppings bar

For dessert I had the Cookies & Cream Gelato & Hubby had the chocolate cake.

I love the Grand Floridian, it's so pretty, inside & out. As usual all the awesome Disney detailing is there & you feel like you are kinda stepping back in time!









To start we had some yummy rolls & I had an awesome Jalapeno Margarita (hubbby had the wildberry lemonade).

For Mains I had the Char-crusted New York Strip Steak which comes with Red Bliss Mashed Potatoes and Brandy-Green Peppercorn Sauce with Seasonal Vegetables & Hubby had the Grand Floridian Burger (Angus Chuck Burger, Butter-poached Lobster, Red Onion Marmalade, and Arugula on a Brioche Bun with Chips)

Hubby declared this the best burger he'd ever had & he loves burgers so this is high praise indeed

My steak was nice, the peppercorn sauce was really yummy, but unfortunately it was really over cooked and so I only had a couple of bites, as well done steak is yuck to me ! There must have been a "kitchen problem" as when we mentioned it to our waiter I heard another couple in front of us complain too. They did offer to re-fire another one for me, but hubby was nearly finished his meal, so I declined. The manager came over later and she said she would comp my Margarita as an apology for the steak, so I thought that was really nice of them.

For dessert we had the sharing platter.

Asian Chao @ Altamonte Mall

Today we went to Altamonte, as I had to make my compulsory visit to my favorite shop, Joann's fabrics & crafts. It's like my candy store, I could spend hours here (sometime's do )!

We decided to have lunch at the mall food court, as we both love Asian Chao Orange Chicken

We both had said orange chicken and also the bourbon chicken, I had noodles and hubby had the plain rice.

It probably doesn't look too great, but believe me it tastes amazing!

Whispering Canyon Cafe @ Wilderness Lodge









This was our first time here and again loved all the decor.

We shared the All you care to eat Platter, which was really yum. The salad was amazing, I could have just eaten a bowl of that & the cornbread. The rest of the platter we only managed about half of what they had given us, as we were just too full! We did order dessert, but I think I only had a couple of bites of mine, as I really could not manage any more. It was a shame as it really was all very tasty. Note to self... only eat here if you've had a light lunch & are really hungry!

For drinks, hubby had root beer & I had the non alcoholic coconut cocktail (I can't remember what it's called, it's really refreshing and delicious though)

I was really looking forward to our lunch here today. The ice cream sundaes just sounded so awesome

I started with the Beaches Chef Salad in the hope that, I could save more room for the dessert! Hubby had the Angus Beef Burger. They were both really yummy.

Again I know this is a food report but how awesome is the decor in here! I love the ice cream cone lights





Now on to the main event, I decided to have the Old Fashioned 3 scoop sundae, I chose chocolate, vanilla & butter pecan ice cream and had hot fudge & peanut butter toppings, Hubby had the "No Way Jose"

I am really looking forward to going back here, & Beaches & Cream now makes it on to our "must do" list!

Coral Reef @ Epcot

We had a reservation for 5pm here but there was a long queue and we must have waited at least 45 mins for our table. It was worth the wait though.

I had the Mahi-Mahi with coconut rice, it was really nice, so much flavour. Hubby had the Lobster Orecchiette Pasta, which doesn't look spectacular, but tasted amazing.

For dessert I had the Pecan Turtle cheesecake which was awesome & so pretty! I can't remember what hubby's was called, a kind of tart with chocolate & mango.

We really enjoyed the food here and liked the atmosphere too & of course the giant aquarium was great to watch! They need more seats in their waiting area though if the queues are always this long!
