Cwtches with Mickey! - Pre-Trip - April 2015 ->

Hi, I've just customised our Magic bands on MDE - so very excited and motivated to write this Pre-Trip report! (However I'm a complete novice so if someone can tell me how to add photos that would be great!)

The Cast -

Me - (33) - Mother to one cheeky little boy! And chief planner. (Green Magicband)
DS - (3) (will be 4 plus one week when we go) (blue Magicband)
My Mum - (55 - 56 when we go) (Red Magicband)
My Dad - The big 60 when we are there! - loves, seafood so any suggestions on somewhere special to go on his Birthday would be great. (Yellow MagicBand)

The Trip - Originally this was going to be a Disneymoon - however me and ex split up in March - won't dwell on that too much as we still get to go so his loss - haha!

It's the first time for all of us. I have been to the US before but my parents and son have never been on long haul! Don't know how my Dad is going to cope for all that time without a cigarette!

We booked through Thompson and are Flying From Birmingham.

When - 17th April - 4th May 2015

Where - Staying on site at the Disney Art of Animation Resort

Food - We booked through a travel agent and because we are going for 16 nights they couldn't arrange any dining plan for us, I've got mixed feelings about this as I like the idea of not having to worry much about what you are spending on food - but I'm thinking maybe we can go onto the dining plan when we are there?

The Plan - We're just going to concentrate on the Disney parks as it's our first trip and DS is little the plan is to be quite relaxed and maybe do quite a few half days.

Definitely want to do some Character Meals - DS loves hugging Characters, spent a day at Peppa Pig world chasing after Suzie Sheep for him!

This is the inspiration for my title and as you can probably guess from this - yes we are Welsh!

Purchases - This week we got Matching Mickey Mouse shirts for my Dad and Boy from Primark! Has to be done!

Money - Looking at money Supermarket - they recommend the Halifax Clarity credit card and ukash prepay card so I think I'll get both of these. My plan with the prepay car is to put a bit on there each payday until holiday.
