The Crystal Palace
The Crystal Palace
Breakfast at The Crystal Palace is a buffet affair, so you can help yourself to as much or as little as you wish. I quite like that the plates here are small, it means you don't overload yourself, which is quite easy to do at a buffet! As far as the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan is concerned (and I believe on the regular plan) it is one credit per person, which entitles you to one full buffet and a non-alcoholic beverage (usually refillable). The buffet area is really spacious, and both sides have the same dishes, so if one side is less busy then the other - switch! They meet in the middle at an omelette station, and there are also desserts and pastries in an island in the centre. I didn't think to take photos of the tops of the serving counters to tell you exactly what was on the buffet, but in general, expect breakfast foods like scrambled eggs, sausages (they're quite spicy), bacon (always streaky, and always crispy), biscuits and gravy, some sort of hash, some sort of breakfast potato dish, Mickey waffles, pancakes and syrup. Generally, you find the Mickey waffles at the kid's station, which is lower down for them to be able to help themselves - but don't worry - us grown ups can take from there too! I can't have a Disney breakfast without a Mickey waffle! Particularly good were some herby, cheesy scones, and the corned beef hash. I personally love biscuits and gravy too, so it's the food I tend to go for. There is also a cold section with fruit, smoked salmon and hard boiled eggs - so really, something for everyone. Baked goods will often contain banana bread and cinnamon rolls (two family favourites here) as well as bagels and breads. You'll find different pastries, cakes and something which we've never seen before - breakfast lasagna, which was layers of waffles and fruit with a custard like topping, which Steve really enjoyed!

I love the CP. It's an absolute must do for us as a family. My teens have simply not grown out of dining with Pooh and pals.
Love the breakfast lasagna too |

We did lunch at CP last year and really enjoyed that (not sure if they do a dinner too? Something for our next visit!) You're never too old for Pooh and Pals!

Snack Credit: Cinnamon Glazed Almonds
Our first snack credits were spent in Frontierland. We bought a packet of Cinnamon Glazed Almonds ($4.75) for 1 snack credit. We also bought a bottle of Coca-Cola and Sprite ($2.75 each) for another 2 snack credits. The nuts come in a paper cone which is all folded up to seal them in, so you can always close it up to snack on as you walk around. We noshed them whilst waiting for the parade to start!
The almonds were deliciously cinnamony, sweet and crunchy - well worth the use of a credit!

Columbia Harbour House
Columbia Harbour House
When it comes to the Deluxe Disney Dining Plan and counter service restaurants you are entitled to an entrée, a desert and one non-alcoholic beverage. Here is what we had… Me: Lobster Roll + Strawberry Yogurt + Iced Tea - served with potato chips ($10.49) + ($2.19) Him: Anchors Aweigh Sandwich + Seasonal Cobbler + Iced Tea - white tuna, lettuce and tomato on toasted multigrain bread with potato chips. ($9.49) + ($3.99) The Boy: Chicken Breast Nuggets + Chocolate Pudding Cake + Coca-Cola - served with steamed fresh broccoli or apple slices or French fries ($8.99) + ($3.99) The lobster roll was really good - would happily eat one of those again. The roll is pretty thick though, could do with it being less bready! Steve's tuna sarnie was lush too - I had a bite, you know, for research. And Liam's nuggets were nuggets. Looking back, I realise he didn't receive the broccoli on the plate! We didn't make much of a dent on the desserts - but they were all fine. Service was slow, but after we got our food, we found a table quite easily. We have generally found that counter service is always very slow. ************************************************** **
Columbia Harbour House Counter Service Bill Total: $51 (3 Credits) {Tip: $none} DxDDP Running Totals: Bill: $248.94 | Credits: 9/126 | Tips: $34.99 ************************************************** **

Great updates and as always fab pictures. I would love to try the breakfast lasagne.
At CHH it's one choice of fries, broccoli or apples so he wouldn't of received broccoli as well as the fries. Looking forward to more.
