Great updates. St Pete looks awesome.

Thank you for reading and commenting. Gives me a boost to keep going!
Thanks. A few years ago we would have said the same but this is the 2nd time we haven't done the parks. Partly due to the cost of park tickets and the fact we wanted to explore more of Florida. Yes Bongos was! Thank you. She was a tad excited when it arrived! Thanks. We wish we were staying for longer. Have a fantastic time. Mrs P |

Beverly's - St Pete Beach
Breakfast was at Beverly's. We arrived at 8am and there were already quite a few people there. Within a short time of being seated it was full. Very popular with the locals. The interior didn't seem like it had been updated for at least 30years but that added to the charm. Staff were very friendly. This was called Benny Hash. Eggs benedict on corn beef hash. Pumba said this was yum! I ordered the Pooh Bear! It was a honey wheat bagel, with cream cheese and a fruit pot. Really enjoyed this. Eldest daughter once again ordered Biscuits and gravy. She did say she preferred the one in Skidders. They didn't do a Kids Menu so our youngest had 2 sides. As we were on holiday we allowed her to have this! A balanced diet of a chocolate muffin & fruit! Mrs P Edited at 03:49 AM. |

Smokey Bones
After the Aquarium we went shopping in Clearwater. We were only meant to be popping into Sketchers quickly but ended up purchasing 3 sets of trainers all with 70% off which was a complete bargain plus they were handing out free bags of popcorn at the checkout! So our afternoon snack was free. Double bonus! Dinner tonight was at Smokey Bones. This has been on our list for a long time but for some reason have never made it. After we read JoJo88 trip report we were determined to go. Thanks Jo! Really pleased we did. Food was great and even though the server was a tad miserable and treated us differently compared to the two American families sitting either side of us, it didn't affect our time there. Had a nice vibe about the place and need to return to work our way through the menu! Before we left home, we signed up for their special offers online. We were sent an email for $10 off the bill. This had to be printed off. I really fancied a baked potato and salad. Hit the spot perfectly! Girls both had the same. Excellent value. Edited at 04:35 AM. |
