Glad to hear.
Errmm... No I didn't. Haha. Hope you enjoyed it. Thank you. Yes the salad was delicious too. Could have easily eaten it as a main course. Oh yes. Everything about it was great! Can't wait to return. Mrs P |

The Old Sugar Mill - DeLeon Springs
Breakfast consisted of finishing off yesterday's bits from Publix. We were then on our way to DeLeon Springs. Another new place for us to explore. Took approx 1.5hours from Orlando and was a straight forward drive. We had lunch at The Old Sugar Mill. It was very busy but we managed to get a table in the corner with a lovely view. We opted for all you can eat pancakes plus extra toppings of sausage, bacon, choc chips (yum) and blueberries (yuck! - totally spoilt at IHOP). A tad quirky that you cook them yourselves in the middle of the table on a hot griddle. There was a 5grain blend and traditional batter. We preferred the latter. You get both included in the price in different jugs. Cost $46 with tip already included. We enjoyed the experience and seemed to be the only Brits there. Cici's We have previously been here before and this time had a voucher (from a booklet at the condo resort) for an adults free buffet. Inside, the seating area is cheap and cheerful but never been able to fault the pizzas. It was busy but they were constantly replenishing the pizzas. Brilliant price for a family of 4. There are also take away options/special offers. Girls really enjoyed the salad bar too. We did learn something new for the first time. That Mr P really liked the pasta pizza & me the apple pie pizza! Ideal meal on a budget. Total spends today $71.39 Edited at 03:58 AM. |

Just caught up on your wonderful reviews. It's giving us lots of ideas for new places to try!
We are big fans of Longhorn and I'm a vegetarian! Millers crops up in so many reviews and yet we have never been. I really need to find the time next trip |

This morning we had breakfast in the condo again, out on the balcony. We had popped to Super Target the night before to pick up some supplies.
The Cheesecake Factory After all the years we have been coming to Florida, we are Cheesecake Factory virgins! Today we were going to change that. After a lovely leisurely morning (trying desperately not to think we are now in our last few days here and trying to divert our thoughts away from work etc) we headed to Mall of Millenia. Drooled on arrival... Warm sweet yummy bread We decided to buy 2 appetisers to share instead of having main meals as wanted to pace ourselves for the main event. The portions were massive. Couldn't believe this consisted of 4 burgers! Our girls loved the road slide sidders And our cuban rolls were really really good. Don't think the photos do them justice. We were originally going to buy 2 cheesecakes but couldn't agree on flavours so opted for 3! The original for me Chocolate hazelnut crunch for the girls The snickers bar chunks for Mr P And we ate it all! I'm happy to admit I'm a cheesecake snob. My favourites are Juniors in NYC and much closer to home, Waitrose (NY original). I can't believe I'm writing this as didn't think it was possible but **drum roll** This. was. even. better. Just to clarify on the receipt - we didn't let our daughter have cider! She did order apple juice. Promise. However, 2 appetisers & 3 desserts & drinks did cost more than our meal at Longhorns, but we would still return. Trying to work out if I can fit in a cheeky cheesecake takeaway! Dinner tonight is at Bobs Evans. Can't flippin wait. Home style comfort food at one of our favourite eateries. Mrs P Edited at 10:45 PM. |
