Dinner last night was here. Another family favourite. We had signed up for offers but nothing on for today. Enjoyed the wildberry lemonade. Perfect for a sweet tooth. We were told these were fresh from the oven. They didn't last long! Kids menu & their choices. Turkey lurkey with different side options I'm a creature of habit and always have the slow roasted turkey & dressing. The bread and celery dressing is lovely. Tastes better than it sounds! Next best thing to a Christmas dinner. Pure comfort food and delicious as always. Once the food arrived we didn't talk for a while as we just dived in! Mr P normally mixes and matches when we dine out but here always has the meatloaf. So a little bit of panic set in when it wasn't on the menu. Asked the waitress who confirmed his worst fears. It was discontinued last year! To say he was disappointed was an understatement. So opted for the country fried steak with mash and Mac n cheese. He said it was ok. Wouldn't have it again and wished he had ordered the same as me, when he had a few mouthfuls of mine. We had the same waitress as the last 2 years but this time whilst still eating our main course she was asking if we had decided on what we wanted for dessert?! Never had that before. The only thing we could think of was her shift was ending soon. Anyway, we were so full we really didn't need anything but was relying on my dessert stomach this time to see me through! Last year they had run out of their good old fashioned home made apple pie and that's what I had been craving. We shared it and it was as good as I had hoped it would be. Girls had cookies Great price for a family of 4 even with no offers. The only downside (other than the meatloaf) is that I always forget to take a cardigan. The air conditioning always seems particularly cold in there. Total spends today - $106.71 plus tips Mrs P Edited at 01:34 PM. |

Great updates I like the turkey dinners. I had an email from Bob Evans for kids eat free in August maybe it was just some locations or was a coupon. Cheap anyway.

Today we have had another fantastic day, which has consisted of a Disney and soccer fix!
Trails End We already knew that brunch was going to be expensive and our only ADR of the holiday. We went to Trails End at Disney's Fort Wilderness. This is our favourite on site buffet restaurant and often regarded as a hidden gem. We love the smaller rustic feel of the place and the variety of food. We always come here for dinner but recently discovered that there is a weekend brunch. It has always been comfortably busy and I tried to be discreet taking photos! The view from our table of the desserts Some of the options available And some of our choices Couldn't fault anything but will probably stick to dinner for future visits. This is a family tradition of ours. Oh how we miss the dining plan at moments like these! The food there isn't anything different to what we have eaten at some places off site. You pay extra for simply being on Disney property. Cost $87. We then sat on the rocking chairs outside taking the world in, more happy memories made and tummies very very full! Orlando City Tonight we went to see Orlando City play New York City FC. None of us had needed any food since brunch. Due to our plans during the day we thought we would utilise our time wisely and eat there. We were expecting it to be expensive and not that great. We were spot on! It all just added to the experience. Haha. This is what a $10 bucket of chips looks like! And chicken & chips With drinks this came to $33.50! Was a great game and atmosphere. Made it easier to swallow! Haha. Twistee Treats On the way back we stopped off here. Love it. We had chocolate twirl with cookie dough and chocolate chips. Small and medium. Delicious delicious delicious. Can't beat sitting outside late at night with one of these. Total spends today $129 plus tips So tomorrow is our last full day... Mrs P Edited at 05:06 AM. |
