New Years Day.
We had a leisurely morning and no one was hungry or fancied breakfast. So I had some more of these with a cuppa. Perfect way to start 2017! For lunch we went to Red Lobster and my parents went to House of Blues. They had been here once before and they really enjoyed the food and the gospel singers so were keen to return. No photos but they had a great time. Really pleased they went. Red Lobster Cheddar bay biscuits. This was one of the reasons we wanted to return. They were warm and delicious. We struggled to stop eating them! Caesar salads come with the meal. We did over hear on the next table the server offering a soup as a replacement instead. Mr P would have preferred this. Will know to ask next time. Kids chicken and mash Kids popcorn shrimp Sailors platter Build your own combination with Walt favourite shrimp, seafood stuffed flounder and shrimp linguine alfredo plus baked potato with lobster Again, another great family meal. Couldn't fault anything. |

Goofy's Candy Store - Disney Springs
One of our daughters had been keen to create her own sweet treat. She filled this in, we paid, then watched it being made. Ta daaah Something a little different and unique, rather than just picking it up off the shelf. It was much heavier than I was expecting it to be and tasted as sickly sweet as it looked. Also saw these... Mr P kindly purchased these for me as a surprise. I know it would be cheaper to buy a bounty bar but there is something about them that is so more-ish and enjoyable. Ghirardelli
Whilst in Disney Springs everyone purchased a variety of different drinks. My Dad and I couldn't decide so decided to share a coke float (blast from the past - not had one of these for years) and a strawberry milkshake. Enjoyed both. The milkshake was full of flavour. The only downside was the ordering/pick up area was completely chaotic and took a long time for our order to be completed. Edited at 07:26 PM. |

Buffalo Wild Wings - Takeaway
Whilst we were in Epcot we ordered online for the first time, to pick up a Buffalo Wild Wings takeaway. Had to give an estimated time of arrival. Very smooth process. Food was hot and ready at the specified time. We all shared this as none of us were overly hungry. We opted for plain with different flavour sauces. Hit the spot. Great use of time and would order takeaway again from here. Mrs P |

More lovely food and what a great place to spend NYE. I have Longhorns on my list for our off site days this year, and we are definitely going to make a candy treat at Goofys - last year we didn't go in until our last morning so we didn't do one but my youngest wanted to, so we will definitely have to this time.

Thanks. We really enjoyed it. Next year is going to be a tad boring in comparison! Hope you enjoy Longhorns as much as us. Have fun at Goofys.
Time well spent! MK has been really busy today but we have still managed well with the use of fast passes and a more relaxed pace. We came prepared expecting huge crowds and have been pleasantly surprised. Not once felt uncomfortable, just taking it in our stride and also enjoying the atmosphere. To our knowledge, MK was the only park shut due to being full to capacity on NYE. I have some other photos which I can post later. Hope that helps. Mrs P |
