Yeah it is good, easier in the summer for obvious reasons! I totally understand why they're limited but it's a bit of a pain!

Aw lovely I've never been there, we always go to sherwood. My friend has been to Woburn twice and raves about it, it's like a 4 hour drive from where we live so must be good! I know what you mean though. Ah sounds like lovely family fun it'll be fab. Ooh I can't wait to see your pics I'm gonna be liking them all like an insta-stalker

Your plans sound great. We are currently looking to book a week in December with our little girl who will be 14 months when we travel! Feeling a bit daunted by the idea of taking a baby but disney is calling! Xx

I totally feel you! Haha. My feeling is just go for it, life's too short to wish you'd done something

Never too early to start a trippie!

Charlotte is such a cutie

AKL is stunning, very jealous of you! We're hoping to rent some DVC points for the villas for the end of our trip in September!

Happy planning, it was fly by

A shopping update!

Hello!

At the weekend we hit the 200s in our countdown to WDW, as demonstrated by Charlotte...

So I thought I should do a little update, and naturally I picked one of my favourite subjects - shopping!

I've been picking up bits when I've seen them, both for myself and for Charlotte. Mainly from Primark, but also quite a bit from H&M and a couple of other places. I've also got some really cute stuff from some Etsy stores. Not all of it is Disney but I'll only show the Disney stuff here

I have tried not to go mad yet (believe it or not!) for a couple of reasons -
1) I am not completely sure what size clothes Charlotte will need then. She will be 18 months old so bang in between sizes. She is a bit of a smidge, she's currently 7 and a half months old and most 6-9 month stuff is still a bit big for her. I've bought some 12-18 months and some 18 - 24 months in the hopes they'll be OK at the time we go. We're also going to Spain with my family in September so ideally I'd like her to be able to wear some stuff for both trips!

2) I don't really know what the weather is going to be like! It seems it can be a bit of everything that time of year in Florida. My friend from work went for a couple of weeks in December last year and said they wore everything from shorts to coats!

So the first things are the some of the Cath Kidston Mickey & Minnie collection. I bought 2 of the bags, this one can be used as a backpack so thought it would be ideal. I also bought the little mini backpack for Charlotte. It's so cute!

I will use this in the parks but I want to get a Dooney & Burke bag for my birthday while we're there too

I also got the passport holder in the same print. I had previously bought this little Disney Baby set for Charlotte which is a passport holder and luggage tag. I absolutely love these.

Funnily enough, she has a little Dumbo comforter that she adores and cannot sleep without.

She pulls the blanket bit over her face - such a little weirdo

Next up, a couple of things from Etsy.

I wanted some Christmas ears, so I ordered some last December when they were in the stores. I got these from Made for Mouse on Etsy, and I wanted something little for Charlotte to match. Nikki was so great and made a little hairband to match which is adorable. No doubt it'll only manage to stay on her head for 5 minutes but we'll at least try to get a photo!

Also for Charlotte are these bows from Lilliboo Bows.

Cinderella castle, Christmas lights, Wishes and Little Mermaid

This was a tough choice as there were loads of lovely ones! I think they were 4 for £10. If she doesn't have enough hair to wear them by the time we go I will stick them on a hairband I think.

Martin got me these PJs for Christmas. They're Primark, and he thought they were perfect for staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, aww!

In the sale at Primark ( who knew Primark had a sale!) I got these 2 tops, this one was £2 -

It's a bit big as there was only 1 left, in a size L but I loved it and couldn't leave it for that price! The sleeves and collar are fine so might just ask my Mum to take it in a little.
I think it might be "loungewear" but who cares!

This one was £3 and makes me sad that we're not going to Universal!

Next up, more matching stuff! I have been watching loads of vlogs, particularly Tim Tracker. I saw they have some T shirts you can buy so I ordered one for me and Charlotte (as she watches the vlogs with me too - shes' quite the Orlando expert already )

If anyone watches the Trackers you might recognize their pups on a "midway mania type ride"
We did have to pay customs charges so it ended up costing around £40 for the 2 tops I think.

More Primark stuff for me:

This jumper is lovely and soft. Thought it would be ideal for travelling in and popping on if it's a bit chilly.

I might actually take this one back. Love the print but the pale pink of the shirt isn't really my colour!

Love this one

Front

Back

For Charlotte I picked this top up-

It's so hard to find little girls Star Wars stuff, so thought she could get away with this one even though it's technically for a boy! It'll make Martin happy, as he is a big Star Wars fan! Thinking this will be for Hollywood Studios one day.

I've bought her 2 mermaid tops which are actually quite similar!

The Ariel one was from Marks & Spencer, I got it ages ago so had totally forgotten about it. The other one is from Next. They are different sizes so will probably just take whichever one fits her.

She's got a couple of little jacket/hoody tops. Thought she could travel in one. The left one is Primark, the one on the right is H&M.

I also got her this little jacket from H&M, it's only thin but has a jersey lining so it'll be a bit warm too.

This little fleece was only £6 from H&M so couldn't resist.

Disney baby hat. £3 from Primark.

This little dress is from Next and I love it. It's so comfy and soft, think it will be perfect for her holidays!

Thankfully Charlotte gets full 23kg luggage allowance with Virgin which is pretty awesome. We're hoping to put 1 case in another on the way out so we only have 2. Annoyingly they now charge to take golf clubs so Martin doesn't know whether to rent some while we're there instead of taking his own, in light of all the extra stuff/small person we'll have with us this year!
Speaking of Martin, he doesn't feel the need to shop for his hols 10 months before we actually go I bought him a cool star tours shirt for Christmas that he'll probably take with us and I've seen some cool ones in uniqlo. I'm waiting until they're reduced though, as things always seem to be in uniqlo! I know there's a store in disney springs now which we'll definitely want to have a look in.

On a slightly more practical note, we bought Charlotte a trunki with some of the money she got from her Christening -

I know it's probably gonna be more trouble than it's worth, but if nothing else she can sit on it while we're in the Immigration line!

We have also purchased a new stroller to use for our holidays. We use an iCandy peach everyday which I absolutely love, but you have to take the seat off to collapse it which won't be practical for travelling. I have done a LOT of research and we've finally gone for the Baby Jogger City Lite.

It folds down super easily, is light, lies flat for naps and has a very large hood with UV50 protection that extends over the stroller. I think we'll use it quite a bit at home too, particularly in the summer. I just have to pick up the rain cover now as annoyingly it didn't come with one!

So that's pretty much it for now! Oh, I have also booked our seats with Virgin. I've booked a row of 3 in the bubble but know that's not always guaranteed. Virgin say they will always sit children with at least 1 parent, but for peace of mind I'd sooner pay and know we'll all be together. I know it's going to take 2 of us to wrangle a toddler for a 9 hour flight!

So the next big things we need to do is get Charlotte's passport, and then at 180 days will be sorting out ADRs. We've got some places we definitely want to try, but a lot will be up for change as we have no idea how Charlotte will be at sitting through meals etc by then!

Thanks for reading and be back soon

PS Sorry a couple of the pics have weird blocks/pixellation on them. They aren't on the originals, only when I upload them on here so not sure what to do! If I manage to fix it I will replace them!

Seeing all the adorable bits you've bought for Charlotte makes me realise how poor I'd be if I had a girl! It's all far too cute to resist! Your trip sounds great, good luck with taking a little one (not the same but we took our son to Dubai when he was about 16 months and we all had a great time)

I know, between her and Disney I'm resigned to never having any money ever again! Haha.
Ah thank you for that, any long haul with toddler success stories make me breathe a little bit easier
