Who Knew Toronto was on the Med - Leg Ten - Webster Falls and Home

The Last Leg - A City in Decay

So here we back in Milton, Canada, we are on our last full day and the difference between here and Detroit is noticable. After a day of Urban decay, we decide on something a little more picturesque, so we decided to head to Webster and Spencer Falls (only a couple of miles away as we still didn't have a Sat Nav so were back to writing the instructions down!)

There are a couple of 3 mile walks in the area and we spent a lovely day taking in the view.

The family after whom the falls are named are from Gloucester originally so as Bristolians (Well South Gloucesterians really) we claimed the link and the area as our own.

We really needed a drink and a bite to eat after completing the walks, and we were still without maps but Mr W had seen a town from the top of one of cliffs. With a little luck we found ourselvesin Dundas with not too many turns to take (or remember).

This is a beautiful quirky town with lots of places to eat and drink. They also have a nice art vibe and we enjoyed a couple of exhibitions

We had a burger and very nice shake and cake in this little diner. Although it doesn't look like it in this shot, it was heaving for an afternoon so we knew the food was going to be good.

We headed back to our hotel for our last night to find that we must have been the only ones not in a very very large wedding party who were intent on celebrating late late into the night.

Our last day took in the local Premium Outlet village and a Walmart for take home supplies.

Again we had a great journey to Iceland and back to Bristol and were home by 10am on the day after our flight.

All in all a brilliant holiday - we learnt a lot, saw a lot, ate good food and loved every moment of it.

Thanks for Sharing
