Don't you want to go somewhere new? April12th-basketball and a cheeky wine walk

Morning temperature 18 degrees. Still not a wall of heat but still a lot nicer than the chilly 11 degrees the other day.

we had a fairly laid back morning as plans for today were Disneyquest, some shopping at Disney springs and then the men and the kids were off to the basketball whilst mum and I were going to Epcot to sample the wine walk, people watch and spend some time one on one.

We arrived at DS around 12.30 and opted for the surface parking so we were by Disney quest. Into DQ and scanned magic bands which wouldn't work. turns out DQ is no longer included ( que a major mickey take as I am usually aware of this sort of thing, thanks to the Dibb, must have missed that though) the CM explained that originally they weren't supposed to be open and it had been removed from tickets, but were now open for a while longer. We weren't the first family not to know and it turned out that as we had ultimate tickets they would Comp us in for one visit (how nice) in we went and started at the top, rode alien thing and worked our way down. DS had finally made minimum height for buzz bumper cars. made our way to the bottom and decided we needed to eat. My stomach was still not completely settled and I spent most of the time in DQ making sure I knew the quickest route to a restroom, just in case.
we decided on wolfgang puck express as sandwiches(except the kids) and a quick drink were all we really wanted. they were nice but we though it was expensive for what we had. 2 kids pizza, 3 sandwiches (I shared as hardly appetite) and 6 drinks $87! perhaps I'm naïve and I know its all fresh etc but still. Anyway fed and watered, another restroom stop for me and we hit the shops for a few hours.

Around 5pm the men and kids made there way back to the car and headed out for basketball whilst mum and I went mickeys pantry, Christmas shoppe, and fun finds before jumping on the bus to the beach club and strolling over to the world showcase, it was a lovely walk and we got a little glimpse at a Disney resort, having always stayed offsite we've not visited one before.

entry to world showcase was empty but as soon as we got to France there were swarms of people, it was mega busy. no bother though into the wine shop and we purchased our wine walk passports and sampled our first two glasses sat outside people watching.
We then decided to properly explore the shops etc in the countries as other than a quick browse we had never really looked. we spent ages doing this and really enjoyed it. We also retrieved 2 more glasses of wine each in Italy but decided to save Germany for when we returned. I had booked us a FP for soarin so we strolled over and rode this. first time on the new one for us and we enjoyed it as much as the old one, even if the Eiffel tower was wonky.
Before we knew it, it was time to make our way back to the beach club and bus back to DS, we managed to catch wishes as well.

Back at DS we checked out World of coke, uniqlo and some of the other new shops before grabbing a starbucks hot chocolate! (Never have I felt the need for a hot chocolate in Orlando before) it wasn't cold but there was a bit of a chill in the air.

We watched candy apples being made and then sat watching a music group and before we knew it the men were back to pick us up.

They really enjoyed the basketball and said the amount of activities going on before the match was good and it was all free once you were inside. Got back to the villa around 11.45 and went straight to bed.

Ouch that IS expensive at Earl! I think we are all much more sensitive to the value of our money with the pound currently so weak.
