There's nothing so Fat about hat I think is must do at Universal food wise. The ice cream was good. Been struggling with desserts and snacks. Don't know how we will do it in Disney with 2 snacks a day.

Loving the report so far. Really glad you've got so much done live.
Sorry about the chicken. it wasn't bad it was just a bit so so. Had better but also had worse. The gravy could have been the stuff from KFC!

Bumps gump we had exactly the same rushed experience with our food. We got our own back we meandered over our drinks for ages after dinner the server kept popping by to see how we were doing. I guess as there is often a queue they like to kept people moving as quickly as possible but it's not cheap and if I wanted fast food I'd go elsewhere.
Yes, I half expected him too but never mind. Quickest meal I've ever had

A big money making machine that place! Food was good though

They definitely do!

Bayliner Diner Cabana Bay

Pretty much threw cases in the room and then off to the food court before going to Universal Studios.

Very good food court, lots of choice. Prices? So so I thought after some good value breakfasts earlier in the holiday this seemed a little more for what it was but could have been worse.

We got a little overwhelmed with which station to choose our food from!

Evie had a ham and cheese croissant which came its potatoes. The ham and cheese was ok. She described the potatoes as tasting like curly fries.

Lily was a bit overwhelmed with choice and being a bit grumpy so ended having just a croissant but then sharing some of Kellys.

I had pancakes with bacon. This was fine.

Kelly had French toast.with sausage. She got a side of eggs and some fruit so Lily could share. Again fine.

One thing that always seems expensive and not just here is the drinks. $4 for a Minute Maid Orange or Nesquick milk. I got a Diet Coke where people's names are on the bottles over here at the moment. For a short while I went by the name of Ashley.

We may eat here again but more likely it will be while we are out elsewhere. $42.75 for it. Free ddp. Don't knock it.

Universal Snacks.

Not many today. Snacking ain't easy.

Pretzel for Evie. She found it way too salty. I liked it.

Popcorn for Lily.

Both snack credits on the Universal Dining Plan.

Mel's Drive in Diner.

Bit of indecisiveness about where to eat today. We thought about leaving Universal Studios to go to Citywalk and Panda Express but Lily isn't a massive fan of Chinese. We looked at Monster Cafe but it was so dark Evie would have struggled in there with her visual impairment.

We settled on Mel's Drive In Diner.

It wasn't too busy inside even though it was 12.30pm. Its go to a cashier and then walk forward to collect your food. The cards they give you for the dining plan take an age to process so our order was already done by the time the cashier had swiped all the cards.

Lily had her staple of Mac and cheese, her side was fries. She enjoyed it.

Evie had a hamburger and fries. No cheese on kids menu She liked it though.

We and Kelly had Bacon cheeseburger with fries. It was a combo meal so came with a shake and a drink. We both had a Chocolate shake and Diet Coke. Wasn't too bad at all. Nice shake.

Was pretty good for theme park food.

Millers Alehouse IDRIVE

Always wanted to try here. Very big inside, lots of seating, lots of tv's showing sports. I was a little worried it would be too much of a bar but it was fine. Shown to our table straight away. Wasn't to busy. Server was average.

I had a coupon for a free flatbread for joining the email club. I gave this to the sever when we ordered.

.

Kelly and the girls had this. They said it was nice.

I had a prior engagement with some jumbo Buffalo Wings. I chose hot. I wasn't silly and go for stupid hot like my brain screamed at me to do. It came with 10 wings. Really good.

I got the sauce everywhere

For mains, Lily had a boring looking hot dog and fries but she liked it.

Evie had the much better looking spaghetti and meatballs. This came with garlic bread. She enjoyed it.

Kelly had the fajita combo. Steak and chicken. She really enjoyed this.

I had something I always wanted to try, the Zinger Mountain Melt.

I have to be honest and say though it was a bit of a let down. It was much drier than I expected, especially the Zingers. A little bland. Hey ho never mind.

Too full for puddings we asked for the cheque. It was kids eat free on Tuesday. The server "forgot" so had to re do the cheque. Cynical me thought she thought we didn't know as she never mentioned it while taking her order. I maybe wrong.

Overall not a bad meal. Great choice and great value. It was $57 with tip.

Great updates! Shame about Bubba Gumps, do you think you just hit it unlucky, we had planned to eat there during our Universal stay.

That Peanut Butter Cup at Coldstone creamery though... I need that in my life!
