Hollywood Studios Snacks

We were at Hollywood Studios for opening so didn't have breakfast. We had our first fastpass early at Tower Of Terror so thought it would be safer to eat after!

Just outside the TOT was a Joffrey's selling coffee and pastries etc. Kelly and the girls were boring and all went for the same thing. Giant chocolate donuts. These were good. I know as both girls couldn't finish so I stepped in

I had a cinnamon bun. This was good also.

4 snack credits used.

50's Prime Time Diner.

This was a real favourite last time and one we all really looking forward to. Sadly it didn't live up to last time

We had a lunch adr rather than dinner. I did originally have dinner but changed things to free up time on another day.

This was probably the longest wait we had for our table. It was around 20 minutes which isn't awful but the girls were eager to eat and it was a very busy waiting area.

We were shown to a table and server took awhile to appear. She was fine but not really into the antics I was hoping for. I looked over enviously at the table next to us as the server was hilarious. A teenage girl was being made to eat her food via the "here comes the aeroplane". Her table was in hysterics.

We ordered milkshakes. Kelly had Strawberry, Evie Chocolate and I had the Peanut Butter and Jelly which again was awesome.

Food wise Lily again went completely yellow with corn with Mac and cheese. It was hard getting her to change!

Kelly and Evie both had
Mom's Old-fashioned Pot Roast, Slow-cooked ‘til fork tender served with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Brown Gravy, and garnished with Julienne Carrots, and Celery. Both enjoyed it.

I went for Aunt Liz's Golden Fried Chicken, served with Roasted Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Gravy, and Seasonal Vegetables. I had this last time and loved it but this time I thought it was very average. The chicken was quite bland and didn't have a great deal of flavour. Portion size was smaller. This wasn't necessarily a bad thing but I did notice.

For dessert Lily didn't want anything.

Evie had no Sugar Added Cheesecake
topped with fresh Whipped Cream and Strawberry Sauce. This was fine and she enjoyed this.

Kelly had Mom's Brownie, Chocolate Brownie served with a heaping scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream with Chocolate Sauce and Whipped Cream. This was ok but it wasn't anything special. This is a dessert that has changed quite a bit from what it used to be. I thought again a fair bit smaller.

I had Traditional Warm Apple Crisp À la Mode. I planned on getting the peanut butter chocolate cake but last time it was so huge I didn't make a dent so decided against it. I didn't like what I had. I just picked the wrong thing. It wasn't what I expected, I had in my head a McDonalds Apple pie but it was nothing like that. It was incredibly sweet. My fault as I just guessed

So overall I think we came away a little underwhelmed by it. Food was ok, service was ok but maybe we put this meal up on a pedestal from last time that it couldn't hope to live up to. Probably wouldn't do again for awhile. I'd would say though if you've never done it before then please try it. Loved it first time not so much second time.

3 adult, 1 child t/s used.

Just caught up on your SeaWorld day.

Been to Tusker few times but never for breakfast. DS1 has chosen it for his 21st birthday as AK is his favourite park. Foods looks awesome. Can you believe none of us have tried jungle juice?!
Shame about Primetime but heyho! Like you said, it wasn't terrible.

I think the server makes a big difference to the experience.

Jungle juice is lovely. Tried to find a frozen version but they stopped doing it

Yes unfortunately. It was somewhere in Africa at AK but they stopped doing it

Back to another old favourite. After our day at Hollywood Studios we weren't desperate to go out but needed to collect our $200 giftcard so headed to Disney Springs. We stuck to the Marketplace as we didn't plan on staying to long.

It was about 7pm and it was fairly quiet inside which was unusual but I'm guessing with the amount of choice at Disney Springs that's the norm now.

Lily had a kids meal and went for Spaghetti
with choice of Butter, Tomato or Meat Sauce. She chose tomato sauce and we asked for the sauce on the side. She enjoyed this.

Evie had an adult classic cheese pizza. This was very good.

Kelly had the Rotisserie Turkey Club which wasAvocado, Bacon, Tomatoes, Mixed Greens and Pepperoncini Aïoli served with House-made Chips. She really enjoyed this.

I nearly went for meatloaf again but thought I'd change it up and went for the Spaghetti & Chicken Meatballs with Torn Basil and Parmesan. This was nice but not as good as the meatloaf!

Another great meal. It's hard to find in my opinion a better q/s meal on the qs dining plan. The only place I missed having the dessert though.

4 q/s credits used.

A few snacks to finish our day off.

The girls got these cotton candy tubs from Goofys Candy Co.

Me and Kelly got snacks from the Riverside Mill.

Kelly got the awesome Magic Cookie Bar. Very nice.

I went for a nice chocolate cupcake.

That cookie bar really does look awesome.

50's prime time is one that has been on my list and off several times, probably end up cancelling and just get the totally awesome PBJ milkshake from the tune in lounge again.
