Mr P here, replying on Mrs P's behalf whilst she's getting pampered in the Spa!

Glad you have settled in, the flight seemed good and I must say the food looked very good as well. The Turf Club. We eat there a lot during the year and the food is a lot better than in the early days. A new Chef started there late last year and he has made a big difference.
I note the prime rib isn't as big as it used to be
Enjoy your holiday and we do like this report. Keep up the good work!
Hi Tom, loving our time here. Turf Club really was very good. Prime Rib was cooked brilliantly, real melt in the mouth. Hope you're well and packed and ready!

Thanks Joan, was a lovely meal.

We have stayed at SSR a number of times but never ventured in. The place itself doesn't look spectacular but the food sure does look good.

As always, looking forward to more.
The food was very good. Know what you mean about the look though - my only criticism would be that the decor makes it very dark inside.

I can't believe the cupcake lasted through the day, you did well to resist!
Thanks- between them Mrs P and our daughters did a good job of polishing off the cupcake whilst I was having a little snooze! They did leave me some, but not much

Me too! It may not be last I have whilst here!

Thanks so much, Mrs P will appreciate those comments. She enjoys doing it and does a good job of it if you ask me, although I may be biased!

Mr P. What an amazing person you are! Having to hang around whilst Mrs P gets pampered. Well done to you!

My comment about the Turf Club is it reminds me of a 'gentlemans Club' - not that I have ever been in one!
i can see why some get put off by the dark mahagony panelling etc but put that to one side and it's great value.

We dont eat breakfast but love The Wave for dinner.

Enjoy yourselves.

We are well happy. Just grabbed a dirt cheap upgrade to UC. Less than I pay for half a tank of diesel!

The wave looks lovely. Always thought it was a bit less child friendly looking though? With a baby etc. But I guess everywhere is child friendly at disney !

As far as we know, you can only purchase these at the moment in Magic Kingdom at The Lunching Pad (Tomorrowland) and Typhoon Lagoon.

Mrs P
Never been so happy to see a food item in a trippie. Loving it so far.

Artist's Palette

We are aware we are not doing very well with the quick service. So to try and make a dent in them Mr P chose the Breakfast flatbread with an orange drink. Sausage gravy, bacon, scrambled egg and cheese. He enjoyed this.

The Bounty Platter. Swapped the drink to a side. Youngest said it was ok but nothing special.

Then 2 snacks. Pain au chocolat. Eldest enjoyed hers and shared some of the savoury above too.

I had a cherry danish.

Senses - Disney Spa

I wasn't expecting to write about this as food and feet don't go! I had the place to myself the majority of the time so was able to discreetly take photos.

I wasn't expecting champagne & Ghirardelli chocolate...

Or the Mickey pretzels and chocolates that were very very moorish. Sweet & savoury = yummy!

Or the blueberry, almond and dark chocolate bites.

Or the selection of twinings teas, citrus infused water & super charge cranberry blend.

A perfect way to start the day. Being pampered, drinking champagne and eating Mickey pretzels & chocolate.
