Chef Art Smith's Homecoming Florida Kitchen - Disney Springs
We had been really looking forward to coming here. This was at the top of Mr P's list. The restaurant has just celebrated its first birthday in Disney Springs. On arrival I decided I liked Art Smith straight away. A guy after my own heart. Inside had a nice vibe about the place, including good country music that wasn't too loud. Trying to take photos to capture the ambience was hard as it was so busy. I opted for the light shade and ceiling. Sorry. I had an epic drinking ordering fail. I wanted to order one of the famous moonshine cocktails however with me confusing the waitress & miscommunication I somehow ended up ordering a shot! This was my watermelon moonshine. Not to divert the attention away from me being a complete numpty, our daughter said her orange juice was the freshest and fruitiest she has had. Anyway, whilst looking like the worst Mum sitting there at lunch time with a shot glass in front of me, I stupidly just sipped it. It was disgusting. So I then made another weird decision whilst the others were laughing at me. I poured it into half a glass of Mr Pibb. I drank it all but it was the strangest taste sensation ever. Lesson learnt. If you want a cocktail, order the Moonshine Mash. We had the Art's famous fried chicken x2 and the fried chicken with donuts x2. DELICIOUS. Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmm. Wise words indeed. We had the Hummingbird Cake x2. Girls shared Auntie's chocolate. They offered to box up another dessert but we declined. Delicious again but massive. Photos don't do the portion sizes justice. None of us were able to finish. Even my dessert stomach couldn't help. Brilliant table service credit. Would happily pay out of pocket if we were not on the dining plan. Looking forward to returning one day to try more on the menu. It's been another glorious hot day. As we left they gave the girls water to take away. I was snappy happy by this point so couldn't resist. Even by my standards, this is a first taking a photo of water! Mrs P

Trolley Car Cafe - Hollywood Studios
Strawberry Acai. One snack credit. Lovely and refreshing. So much so we got another one later on. First time ever both our names have been spelt correctly in the states. Been a source of amusement over the years. Mrs P

Rosie's All American Cafe
Girls started getting hungry so because they hadn't had enough chicken today, they fancied more with chips! One quick service. They shared this and popcorn which was a snack credit. We got these prior to going into Fantasmic. Glad we did as the queues at the kiosks inside were ridiculously long. As we were leaving Fantasmic they were handing out free boxes of popcorn. Mr P and I just finished off left overs back in the room as neither of us have been hungry since lunch. So today has been full of chicken & popcorn! Tomorrow is my birthday. 4 parks one day. Here we come. Mrs P

Great updates Mellisa.
Sorry if already been mentioned but what area are you in at SSR? I have requested The Paddock this trip, what's the food counter and drinks station like there?

Enjoying the report as I go away in 10 days, the food looks good and large (I have been dieting all year to loose excess weight) just hope I don't put it all back on!

Love your review of Homecomin' - it's my new favourite place. Have booked a sneaky ADR there even though we aren't on the DDP this year. Gotta have the fried chicken & hummingbird cake again!
Oh dear - lol-ing at the shot The Starbucks strawberry acai is really good. I ordered it on a whim but it's so nice & refreshing.
