Fords looks incredible! That might be worth the trip to St Pete's alone!

Mrs P. Sorry, missed a few days as we have the Granddaughter with us taking up my time!
Some really nice meals have been had, did so like the look of the fish at Mad Fish. I am debating about a few days in St Petes next August, probably just a long weekend. I like the look of the Grand Plaza you stayed at. Tell Mr P I will be in touch ref this.

What a lot of food at Mel's and good prices! We go to the one at the top of Del Prado Blvd on Pine Island Rd in the Cape (it's newer and we go for the breakfasts). Excited to read what food is on the menu next!

Some great updates! Both Mad Fish and Fords look great! I think a trip to St Pete's definitely needs to be on our agenda for the very near future - I want to watch the sun go down at Bongos!

Hi all, Mr P here. It's Friday evening and I'm sat typing this by the pool at the end of another gorgeous day. Mrs P will be along shortly with a summary of today's eatings!
Before turning to your comments, a little advert if I may. I did a "Highs and Ho-Hums" of our first 7 days in Disney - if you want to have a read then the link is below: https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1041803 They really are - Both different in their own ways but great food. I wouldn't recommend it, its in Cape Coral However, I'm thinking of launching a campaign to get them to expand further north! That fish looked fantastic when it came out Tom, and Mrs P tells me it was some of the best salmon she's ever had. I'll get in touch when we get home re The Grand Plaza (although I think you'll be in Fl by then!) We were going to head to that one, but the journey to the Ft Myers branch was going to be slightly shorter according to Google maps and we were all hungry enough to think the couple of minutes difference was important Great value and some of the best service we've received on this trip. I have to say, I'd choose a day that ends at Bongo's as my Groundhog Day! I think it's possibly the most perfect place on earth. I'm told it was good - it was a ridiculous amount of food! Fantastic value - we'd pay more to eat at home for a more inferior experience. Loved them both. Thanks all again for reading and your comments.

The Boathouse Tiki Bar & Grill - Cape Coral
We had a pleasant, peaceful and relaxing breakfast here. The Classic with scrambled eggs & bacon. The Classic with poached eggs. Bagel with cream cheese. Toast & fruit. Cost $35 plus tip. Mrs P

The Bubble Room - Captiva
Epic research planning fail! Today we headed to Sanibel & Captiva. We had been looking forward to the cakes here but also the weird, strange, unique and totally different decor. Our eldest had commented that the photos we had seen online could have been part of the Pretty Little Liars set! You can imagine our disappointment to arrive and discover it was CLOSED! We hadn't checked the opening times. Assumed it was open during the day like the majority of places. Our mistake. So if you plan on going, they shut between 3 and 4.30pm! Mrs P
