The Island Cow - Sanibel

On arrival, decided that I would like the chairs outside to be imported home. Would love these in our garden!

Or these.

This made me smile. And we hadn't even made it into the restaurant.

We were then welcomed in by a very friendly surf type of guy. Service continued to be great.

Girls particularly liked the complimentary chocolate muffins that arrived first!

I ordered the crab salad which was lovely.

Spotted this sign. Awkward!

The Bubba Gump Dinner. Shrimp 4 ways.

Kids Pulled Pork sandwich. Very large. Daughter demolished it all.

Kids Mac n Cheese.
Unfortunately it looked and tasted like it had been taken out a packet. She wished she had chosen the same as her sister.

The menu was vast and we sampled some of their speciality lemonade. There were random signed photos around, colourful and lots of cow ornaments which added to its quirkiness. Would happily return.

Mrs P

Cost $71.20 plus tip.

Love the Island Cow, and what a shame the Bubble Room was closed, the girls who have enjoyed it! Would highly recommend Point 57 for dinner on the Cape (and within walking distance of the villa!)

The colourful chairs do look PRETTY! Lots more tasty food, it seems like you're enjoying your time on the coast.

Mrs P. Spotted your Husbands response to me. Tell him we will link up shortly about St Pete's. No rush at all.
I agree with you ref the chairs, very nice. My neighbour makes them! He is excellent at salvaging timber and making something useful.
I feel hungry now. Mmm Boston Kreme.

Currently writing this whilst watching the girls play in your pool. Bliss.

Yes we did too. I know. Gutted. Yes Point 57 (and lots of others) are on our list but running out of time and stomach space!

So good. Yes it was a little like that but the food reminded us of Bob Evans. You must be getting excited. Looking forward to following you virtually, whilst I'm back on a diet!

I will do. Wow. Always fancied a trip to Wales. Wonder how many I could fit in the car!

Breakfast @the villa (kind of!)

Currently having a lovely chilled out morning in the villa. Bliss. Our stomachs feel that they have reached their peak! We still have numerous restaurants on our list, but no one is particularly hungry.

Except I had a few mouthfuls of this.

Chocolate & ice cream are 2 of my favourite things. 😋

We are heading off later to J N Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge in Sanibel. The only definite food plans we have is Sweet Tomatoes on route. We are all craving greens!

Have read every one of your posts but I've been a bit terrible at commenting, sorry!

P says there was 'one or two' on that beer list that he hadn't tried and 'look interesting' (eg, aren't Corona/Bud Light etc!). Loved the look of the Ford Garage place, if we can find one I'd love to eat there, although someone hasn't recovered from his giant burger at The Cowfish two years ago, so he probably wont be so keen!

Enjoy the rest of your holiday and we will see you when you get back xx

Ice cream for breakfast, my DS would approve. Plus it makes me feel better that I allowed Florean Fortescues for lunch!
