We woke the girls up early, said goodbye to Cape Coral (thanks again Nicky - loved staying in your villa). Approx 3+ hours later we were arriving in Orlando. On route to the airport we had one last surprise in store. We didn't activate our 14 day Disney tickets till the day after we arrived so...
It was only when the girls saw this they asked what was going on. When we told them we were spending the morning here before going to the airport, their faces were priceless. 4 very happy Pumba's. We had secured fast passes a few days earlier, so the plan was whilst the girls rode Space Mountain I would buy breakfast and meet them all outside. Gastons Tavern I had tried to buy a warm cinnamon roll from Gaston's Tavern one evening the week before, but it had already shut. Today. Mission accomplished. I'm a person who happily likes to just blend in. As I was walking across from Fantasyland to Tomorrowland people were staring and smiling. Initially thought I had had a top malfunction then realised they were looking at the bun! Numerous people stopped to ask what it was and where they could buy one. Oh my. This didn't disappoint. This was massive. Smelt divine and tasted warm, light and gooey. Wish we hadn't shared! Didn't have time to walk back and buy another one, otherwise I would've done. Ultra yummy. Cost $4.49. Mrs P

Main Street Bakery
To delay the impending moment we had been dreading, we decided to stop off on route at the Main Street Bakery to buy drinks. There always seems to be a massive queue and wait in here. Today we didn't think it was that busy. We had also received an email to say our flight had been delayed. We were given this for the first time and the cast member explained they are now monitoring wait times. We waited 18minutes from start to finish. If anyone is that interested. 😉 Strawberry Acai & Double Choc Frappuccino We found a nice quiet spot in the shade just off Main Street. Only discovered this little area when we did the Keys To The Kingdom Tour. My 3 favourite people in our happy place. We listened to the music lesson happening above us whilst drinking (so many hidden gems which are easy to overlook when immersed in the magic) & watched a couple get engaged then a PhotoPass photographer came along and started taking natural shots of us. We soaked up the sunshine for as long as we could. Home day is so rubbish. However, we had a happy ending in our happy place. Mrs P Edited at 12:05 PM. |

Buffalo Wild Wings
The plan was always to stop off at B'Dubs on route to the airport. Can't fault the quality or price here and has always been a favourite. Whilst we were soaking up the most of our last few hours on American soil, the girls enjoyed being back here playing their favourite trivia game on the console they give you. You play other tables which link up to the TV screens scattered around. Whilst we were there, the eclipse was taking place and was being featured all over the news. Pretty cool to say we were there. Not sure why we even looked at the menu as we already knew what we were going to have. Small boneless chicken wings with parmesan & garlic sauce with buffalo chips Boneless chicken wings with sweet BBQ sauce. Ordered a snack size but they gave me a small. Kids plain chicken wings & fries Kids chicken with honey BBQ sauce So good. Easy laid back comfort food. Service was great throughout. A lovely last American lunch. Cost $45.78. Mrs P

BA flight
Food wasn't great but everything else was fine. Offered one cold and one hot drink. Air steward said "Would you like the tomato & cheese pasta or chicken curry for dinner, but we are out of chicken curry" 😳😂 Breakfast The taxi guy picking us up from Gatwick kindly purchased Costa lattes for us & pain au chocolat for the girls whilst waiting for us in arrivals. What a star. COMPLETE So that's that. Live trip report complete. Another amazing holiday. Wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who has read along and taken the time to comment. Hope it's been a source of information and/or a drooling food fest! As always, I've enjoyed eating it all! Thanks again. Mrs P
