Aah Abby, this is brilliant, I've just had a mammoth catch up as I hadn't seen it before, and now as I've read so much I can't possibly remember what I need to comment on!
Katz deli looked amazing, I'm sad we didn't get there, it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere near where we were. The ride sounded good fun laughing at the amount of times you say we had (insert food) but forgot to take a photo You definitely need to be doing a full on trip report

Longhorns looks really good. Might add that to my list for next year.
I too love chocolate and peanut butter so that is the pudding for me.

Couldn't agree more, those cocktails deserved to have their photo taken properly.
Glad you enjoyed it. Haha, that's lucky there's definitely more photos that a less than perfect coming up. We did have some really tasty drinks. Thanks for reading everyone

Yep, I think DH lived in fear throughout every song...he survived though.
We always seem to go for steak when we see it, but the salmon was fab for a change. Goodness, you deserve a medal to catch up from the start. Although, sometimes a binge read of a trippie helps me get through the dark days of a long wdw countdown... You should do a food trippie, at least take the photos and decide when you get home. I'm not sure how the people who do the live trippies manage it, there's no way I could fit it in while on the holiday. Hurrah, you found me! I've loved reading all your reports. It's so nice to have a celebrity dibber reading! Katz was a fair way out, but it was the one and only thing that DH had requested so we couldn't not go. You will be laughing a lot more then...the next day is discovery cove and I didn't have my phone on me all the time so there is a distinct lack of photos in the middle part of the next instalment Longhorn's was great, we went back towards the end of the trip as DH really wanted one of the steaks again (hmm, perhaps it was the Montana mule) Oh they were good weren't they? Thanks for reading along. Hope to do another update later today.

Saturday 29th July - breakfast and lunch at Discovery Cove, drinks and pizza at the the Topsy Turvy Lounge
I had done my Discovery Cove research (well, I read up about it on the Dibb!) and I knew we should get there early, get a dolphin swim slot as early as possible to avoid the inevitable afternoon thunderstorm and not have breakfast before as there was a breakfast buffet. DS reaalllly wanted to have the leftover chocolate cake from Longhorn’s but I made him leave it and promised there would be lots of tasty breakfast foods as soon as we got there. It pretty much all went to plan…a slight issue with the uber…he was waiting around the front of the hotel at the entrance to reception and we were waiting around the other side. I was a bit cross as valuable seconds were lost in the confusion. DH did manage to get a nice early morning photo. When we arrived it was quite a long line to get in but it moved quickly and we were soon set up. For breakfast we had a selection of streaky bacon and sausage patties blueberry muffins, croissant and French toast (you can see them in the background with a pot of syrup) They looked like fish fingers to us…unfortunately they didn’t taste much like French toast, which was a great disappointment to DD as she had just learned how to make French toast and couldn’t believe they had managed to get it wrong scrambled egg, bacon and sausage We had orange juice, chocolate milk and coffee to drink and also a bowl of fruit. Amazingly, we came pretty close to eating all this food. Next job was to locate some sunbeds, lockers, sun tan lotion and get in the water. We had a great time laughing at DH as he put on the sun cream (oh dear - did I forget to tell him that it doesn’t rub in very easily?). Then we grabbed some snorkels and went round the lazy river a few times. The dolphin swim was fab. Kate loved that the dolphin we had was called Catalina and was also 10 years old. Lunch was fine, but I don’t have photos as I basically couldn’t be bothered to go back and get my phone…I've written it all down though so you'll have to use your imaginations! DD had meatballs with marinara sauce and for pudding chocolate cake with strawberries. DS had chicken tenders with fries (two lunch times in a row…he will definitely need a burger or pizza soon, fortunately he didn't have long to wait for the pizza, we had it for dinner!) and of course he had chocolate cake with strawberries. DH had pulled pork in a bun with fries, corn on the cob and coleslaw, for pudding he had cheesecake (not as good as the NY cheesecake). I had a starter of prawn pasta, chicken and rice and I also had cheesecake. Later in the afternoon I asked if anyone wanted any snacks the conversation went something like this… Me ‘They have chocolate chip cookies and crisps and all sorts of snacks and drinks at the bar over there.’ Them ‘We’re not really hungry’ Me ‘You’re ALWAYS hungry’ Them ‘No we’re not’ Me ‘It’s all free you can just take whatever you want’ (well, paid for in advance…) Them ‘No, we’re going back in the lazy river’ Me 'Hmmph' Later I managed to convince them to grab a couple of packets of crisps and some of the chocolate chip cookies which were warm and actually rather tasty. I don't think we did very well with the stuffing your face part of the Discovery Cove experience, we were having too much fun in the water. I said to the kids that my Dad would feel we had let the side down... if he knows he is going to eat at a buffet then he basically starves himself beforehand and doesn't anything all day so that he can maximise the buffet. We definitely failed on that front. We stayed until late afternoon and it was pretty much closing and everyone seemed to be leaving so we headed back to the hotel. We showered and decided none of us could be bothered to walk too far and we thought we'd check out the hotel bar. We got lucky - it was 6.59pm and happy hour stopped at 7pm. The barman said we had just made it...we didn't even know there was a happy hour...but we were feeling happy now. The kids both had cokes, DH had beer and I had a gin and tonic (well two beers and two gin and tonics ) It came to $19 which included a tip, all paid at the bar and no receipt photo, but I do have a photo of the drinks (I think, by now, you know that I have priorities) We still weren't that hungry so in the end we just ordered a pepperoni pizza to share. It was 12 inch and the barman asked if I wanted anything else, another pizza? fries on the side? He was a bit worried that one pizza wasn't going to be enough, but it was just right. Oops nearly forgot to take the photo, half eaten pizza... I remembered to take a photo of the receipt though $13.36 And that was about it, we were worn out. Tomorrow - Sunday 30th July 2017 - First day at Universal, mum practises some deep breathing exercises on Rip Ride Rockit, Starbucks for breakfast, Tacos and Nachos from Bumblebee Man's Taco Truck for lunch, The Big Pink, Bubba Gump for dinner (some of us struggle with the idea that it's my birthday ).

Excellent update.
I have a real soft spot for sausage patties. I'm hoping for a blue Friday deal for discovery cove as it would be great for the 4th of July.

This was our first trip to Discovery Cove and it was brilliant. I did get the tickets on black Friday. It was the 3 park tickets with dolphin swim. After I bought them the ticket got upgraded so the it also included Busch Gardens, but we didn't make it over to Tampa.
