Manny's Chop House

Manny's Chop House 192

Sunday morning was spent relaxing by the villa pool eating pop tarts and drinking frozen cocktails.

We headed to Manny's Chop House on the 192 before going to Animal Kingdom in the evening.

To drink Chris had a Sam Adams Summer- it was happy hour so he got 2.
I had a frozen mango daiquiri which was lush.

Yet more chicken wings were ordered.
Got to say that we never had a bad lot of chicken wings. Loved them all. Even bought different buffalo sauces from Target to bring home.

I had mixed fajitas.

Which were ridiculous in size. Really tasty though, I usually always have chicken fajitas when I get them but I really enjoyed the mixed.

Chris had Chicken Buffalo Sandwich with fries. The fries came over two plates.

We also ordered a side of onion rings just to make us look even more greedy. And they were GINORMOUS!

Total came to $53 + tip.

Amazing value. We were stuffed.
So naturally what we did was head to animal kingdom for 2 goes on Everest and Primeval Whirl

Bahama Breeze

Bahama Breeze

On our last full day (sob ) we did some more relaxing by the pool along with some packing.

The plan for the evening was Magic Kingdom so we decided on Bahama Breeze beforehand.

We sat outside on the patio and there was live music which was nice.
It was happy hour so we quickly got started on some drinks.
Chris ordered a beer - Aruba according to the receipt.

I ordered the Bahamarita.

Super yummy, alcoholic fruit pastille lolly in my opinion. :P

Starters wise we ordered Habanero chicken wings and onion rings. As you can see the full scale of our chicken wing and onion ring habit is well established.

Ridiculous amount of wings for a starter!

The onion rings had coconut flakes on them - really interesting and also tasty - the dipping sauces were quite nice too although we aren't huge lovers of mustard based sauces.

The waitress explained that the restaurant was under new management and they were having some teething issues. Food took quite a while to come. We ordered some more drinks to bridge the gap.

I don't have any photos but we had another Bahamarita and a margarita.

For mains Chris ordered ribs and I ordered the chipotle beef bowl.

Lovely - huge portions. The chipotle beef bowl was amazing - they do a 'lighter' portion too which probably would have been more sensible.
:P

Total was $73 + tip.

Again - like the previous evening, you get much more for your money off site. I think next time we come (desperate to go back) we will try more off site restaurants too.

Plaza Ice Cream Parlour

Plaza Ice Cream Parlour

Just before 10pm we decided that we would get an ice cream and savour our last few minutes in magic kingdom. We didn't want to stay too late as we had stupidly not done all of our packing and had to make sure we got that done before leaving the villa.

It was busy! Everyone else clearly had the same idea.

Chris had a root beer float with cookies and cream ice cream.

I had The "Plaza" Ice Cream Sundae in a waffle bowl. I picked cookies and cream and vanilla.

This was amazing - glad I got it at night as it was melting like crazy.
Think it was abit too large for me though - especially after our huge meal which was only 4-5 hours previous.

Homecomin'

Homecomin'

Final morning

We left the villa just after 10 and headed to disney springs to use the virgin check in to get rid of our luggage.

This meant we could stay at disney springs until about 3pm and then head to the airport from there.

We decided to have brunch - it was about 11:30 at this point at Homecomin'.

Chris decided to get a 'Sweet Tea Shine' which was:
Sweet tea, fresh-squeezed lemon and moonshine
And he also decided to get it in this souvenir cup.

I had a moonshine mash:
Watermelon-infused moonshine, fresh watermelon, lime juice and simple syrup.

Lovely - really fruity - right up my street.

Mains wise (no ridiculous starters today!):

Art's Famous Fried Chicken for Chris.

And Chopped Pork Barbecue Plate for me.

Amazing! Loved the Mac and Cheese.

Our waiter was lovely, he and Chris had a chat about Star Wars.

We refilled the Sweet Tea Shine to go.

Really lovely last meal. Think I was so upset we were going home at this point that nothing was really going to uplift my mood too much.

Drinks at The Daily Poutine

Drinks at The Daily Poutine

After doing some more shopping we were starting to get mega thirsty.
We stopped by a table under and umbrella near the daily poutine and I headed over to order some drinks.

Root Beer and Watermelon Lemonade.
The lemonade was frozen and exactly what I needed.

^ you can see one of my splurges there in the background .

We set off for the airport not so long after this

Virgin PE Plane Food

Virgin PE Plane Food

We shared some fries and a hot dog at the airport but we didn't take a photo - and it didn't look that appetizing to be honest!

On the plane we got the usual drinks and pretzels.

Tea wasn't far behind.
I wasn't expecting much to be honest but it was actually okay!
I can't remember what we had though! I remember that Chris asked for the vegetarian korma - which they had run out of. So I think we had some kind of chicken dish.
However the cabin staff found one and said we could have it as extra.

We didn't really get alot of sleep to be honest.
The breakfast was abit rubbish so we just had coffee and tea (sorry no photo) and picked at it abit.

We landed at about 6:45 after setting off at 18:53 and my dad picked us up from the airport.
