Just typing this up as part of my honeymoon trip report.
Lots of photos, obviously! Thanks for reading, it truly was the best day of our lives!

The morning started veeeeery early, about 5am, yawn! I had slept pretty well considering. I’d picked up some nytol tablets the day before and teamed with the few drinks we’d had in the pub in the evening worked wonders!

I got up and had a shower as quietly as possible so I didn’t wake my sister, Gen and my Daughter, Ariana who I was sharing my suite with.
My hair and make up lady was arriving at 6 so I got Gen up just before she arrived. The next few hours consisted of make-up brushes, lots of hairspray, nail varnish and lots and lots of room service!

Everytime another one of my maids turned up we rang downstairs for more cooked breakfast. They never charged any of the extras to my room thank god! Dread to think how much that would have cost.
Later on in the morning, my sister was tasked with heading downstairs and making sure everything was set up and ready. Aparently everything was a shambles but thankfully she kept me blissfully unaware and I didn’t find out about all the fuss until later on that day.

All the ceremony music was on my phone and I had been told I could just plug it into their sound system, except they didnt have any cables to connect it up which would mean walking down the aisle in silence, awkward! Thankfully my stepdad had just the right cable kicking about in the boot of his car and saved the day, lucky!
The venue had put their own chair covers on all of the chairs which aparently were dirty and disgusting and had holes in all of them. We weren’t sure why they had put them on since I had told the wedding planner I had hired covers and sashes from a third party since theirs were £5.20 per chair! They were going to make my sister and mother in law take them off as they ‘didn’t have time’ but my mother in law lost her shiz and told them to get it sorted immediately or all hell would break loose, or words slightly less civilised knowing my mother in law!
They also didn’t have the three tier cake stand we had been promised but thankfully my cake lady brought one with her.
The best thing was, when my minions asked to speak to my wedding planner, they were told she wasn’t in as she didn’t work weekends! Insane! Fair enough don’t work weekends but if there isn’t a wedding one but god, you organise a wedding, you show up on the day to make sure everything you had promised ran smoothly!
My mother in law left messages for her on the Monday but she never did call back and shes never once been in touch with me to congratulate me or ask how the day went, coward! :angry:

Anyway, by now the photographer, Mark, had arrived and had started snapping away with me, the ceremony room and with the boys who were already ready and hanging about outside.

Soon it was time for me to get dressed!
My dress was from Annasul Y’s Snow collection that I purchased from a local bridal shop, it was a sample gown so was a total bargain! The owner of the store also made a custom made lace jacket for me and I had a floral belt I bought from Etsy. My shoes were Kurt Geiger and not at all comfy! I’ve never worn them since but I really should get my money’s worth!




The morning felt like it has lasted for days but we were finally ready and it was time for my dad to come up for first look photos and to then walk me down the aisle!


This is how I always imagined my dad would look when he walked in the room and he didn't disappoint!


My aisle music was the ‘Tour of the Kingdom’ music from the Little Mermaid. I almost had heart failure when the music started and the bridesmaids set off. It was the moment I’d pictured in my head for years and finally it was here and it was terrifying! I completely forgot about the photographer and therefore forgot to smile the whole time. I couldn’t look at anybody so I just remember looking at the floor! I had to walk round the top balcony then down the stairs so I was hanging onto my dad for dear life!



As soon as I got to the front I grabbed onto Ross’s arm and didn’t let go the entire time. The bozo left his glasses on during the ceremony so hates all the ceremony photos and to be honest so do I cause I was concentrating so hard on saying the right words I forgot to look happy and we both look like total misery guts! Never mind!


Our son, Oliver. Both kids were so well behaved all the way through!

We did the standard vows as neither of us fancied writing our own, we are not ones for airing our affections in public so telling eachother how we feel in front of a crowd wouldn’t have been fun! The only thing we did was add a line during the ring exchange that said ‘I solemnly swear that I will stay with you, until the very end. Because where your treasure is, there will your heart be also’. A little nod to our love of Potter!

Our readings where A Lovely Love Story by Edward Monkton (all about dinosaurs!) and Us Two by A.A Milne which were read by my sister and my Granny.

Then we were officially pronounced husband and wife! Ross through me into a half hearted ‘movie kiss’ which took me by surprise and you can probably tell by the photo!

While signing the register our guests listened to instrumental versions of I Can Go the Distance from Hercules and What’s This? From Nightmare Before Christmas. I had to have a glass of water and a little sit before I could actually sign anything because my hand was shaking so much! Just excitement, nerves and adrenaline I guess!
We posed for photos which were ruined by Ariana’s miserable face and we had some pics with our Mickey and Minnie wedding pens I got from DLP in 2014.

We finished off by leaving the ceremony to Now That We Found Love by Heavy D and The Boyz. A little humour there but if you’ve seen the movie Hitch then you’ll know it’s totally wedding appropriate!
Photos were posed for outside in the glorious sunshine. I’ll never be able to say enough how lucky I felt to have such amazing weather! It had been windy and rainy all week and the Saturday was so sunny and warm for October, I genuinely feel like it was just for us!
Once outside we could finally had a proper look at our wedding rings. We’d had each other’s rings engraved a few weeks earlier but we hadn’t told the other what we had asked to be engraved. Then they had been hidden away at my mum’s so save any peaking! So this was the big reveal as it were! Ross saw that I’d had ‘This ring is a horcrux’ engraved on his because he has a piece of my soul (romantic or creepy...you decide!) and I had ‘Always 1.10.2016’ on mine which I love!

There were canapés which we had chosen ourselves and I was so looking forward to but I didn’t get even one! Far too busy posing for snaps! My favourite picture with everybody is the confetti shot. I’d bought dried petals with I’d bagged up and had handed out to the ladies and I also had six confetti cannons which the groomsmen got. It just made the best picture ever!







Once all the group shots were done with, Ross and I got given a golf buggy to head off onto the golf course for some pictures alone. I let Ross take the wheel since he’s used to driving them and we went off the to driving range for some ’comedy shots’. You have no idea how tempted I was...

So tempted!

Then we drove off onto the course and had the ‘romantic shots’. We did a lot of walking around so my feet were killing me! We often had to wait around until a group had finished taking shots before we carried on. The bride getting knocked unconscious by a golf ball might sound funny but I really didn’t fancy it!
After a while our master of ceremonies, Olly came to fetch us back in, he took me back in his buggy because I genuinely couldn’t walk anymore! Stupid shoes.





We had our all important Harry Potter picture taken, my favourite thing ever! And the photo we were using for our thank you cards, then headed inside to check out the reception room and make sure it was set up how we wanted.

This is where Ross got his special gift from me, the surprise wedding cake! He absolutely loved it and was quite upset that he was going to have to share it with everybody else later on.





Our tables were named after rides and attractions throughout WDW and we used vintage looking ride posters on the tables. The top table was Cinderella Castle then we had Thunder, Splash and Space Moutain, Toy Story Mania, Tom Saywer Island, ToT and Pirates of the Caribbean.
I made the table plan board myself using lots of fabric, pink ribbon, cheap photo frames and lots and lots of staples!
We also had Disney trivia cards on each table for the guests to test their knowledge.


We had to head out and hide while they got the guests in and seated then we waited to be announced into the room. We walked in to Zero to Hero from Hurcules.
Speeches were read, my dad embarrassed me, the best man said waaaaay too much and I managed to hold it together. Ross almost broke down. Was it when he was talking about how much he loved me? Or how much he loved our kids? Or how beautiful he said I looked? No. He teared up talking about the bloody dog. Least I know where I stand now ey!
Oliver read a little something he’d been practicing at school bless him, he was amazing!



Finally it was time for food! We had melon to start, roast beef with all the trimmings for main and Eton mess for pud. Everything was soooo amazing! I know I’m biased but it was the best wedding dinner I’d ever had!


I’d created a playlist for background music. It was made up of Disney songs, tracks from the Harry Potter soundtrack and movie themes like Star Wars and Jurassic Park. I had set it up so that Be Our Guest was playing when they started bringing out the food. Highly doubt anybody noticed this but I loved it!

After dinner we got a little break before our evening guests arrived so I touched up my makeup, had a sneaky peak at our bridal suit, had a few more pics with Mark and then we all went over to the onsite pub for a drink! It’s a good job the barman was nice cause I ordered a vodka and orange then realised I obviously didn’t have any money on me at all but he said ‘It’s ok, the bride doesn’t pay’. Cheers bud! It felt so bizarre being sat in a pub having a drink with my mates but being in a huge wedding dress, strange!







Once the evening guests arrived we were announced into the room again by the band and we chatted to the new arrivals.
A few things we had in the room were our illuminated letters and our Honeydukes sweet table which I had put together over the weeks running up to the wedding. I’d even had some help from some dibbers. So we had...

Lupin’s Werewolf Fangs – Vampire Teeth
Chocolate Frogs – Freddos

Ron’s Favourite – Yellow belly snakes
Chocolate Mice – self explanatory
Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans – jelly beans
Fruity Frogs – jelly frogs
This went down very well with all the guests, who doesn’t love a pick and mix!




We cut the cake and had our first dance to Beyond The Sea by Bobby Darrin (think of the end credits to Finding Nemo if you cant think of the song) then the band played a whole mixture of songs all night and kept the dance floor full!

We also had a photobooth full of props, some Harry and Disney related obviously! Here's a pick of the best pics, there were so many! Everybody loved it though, it was so much fun!

I was on such a high all night, I don’t think I actually had a drink though! People kept buying me them but I’d get distracted and leave them on a table somewhere. I was somehow convinced into having a jager bomb...not quite sure how! I’ve only ever had one before and hated it but now I’ve had two I guess!







We made sure everybody signed our ‘guest book’ which was a huge jigsaw which I’m yet to put together and display somewhere!
As the night drew to a close the band played my jam, Tina Tuner’s Proud Mary and Oliver’s jam, Walk the Moon’s Shut up and Dance then it was time for bed! I cant believe Oliver lasted until the bitter end! He was still so pumped when they played his song, dont know where he gets his energy from!

We’d both had the best day ever and I know it’s a cliché but it really does go so fast and I just wanted to do it all over again! But for now it was definitely time to sleep cause I was knackered!

Awwww love your wedding photos. You've cheered me up no end, as I've been miserably following the progress of Hurricane Irma.
