I was going to say I'm sad it's over, but you've promised us an extra bonus instalment... yaaaay!
The food at Dennys looks nice, glad you enjoyed your sandwich. I think breakfast is best there though, we will definitely be indulging in a Dennys breakfast soon Plane food is a bit hit or miss usually... shame yours was a "miss". Don't think I've ever had a curry on a plane, it sounds horrible. What a nightmare with the cases, thank goodness they finally turned up and that you managed to make good use of your waiting time Thanks for writing Abby

We should have probably ordered some breakfast stuff actually as that might have been a better choice. Although maybe that's a bit harsh as we did enjoy the meal and the kids loved their build your own ice cream pudding.
It's been great having you reading along. I've started adding up the number of cocktails and desserts. But, I'm beginning to think we didn't try hard enough , I feel we may have let ourselves down! I definitely think we need another try and we'll have to put our backs into it next time!

Finally finished reading. Great trip and good report. Very annoying about your luggage! Ds toy dog always travels in hand luggage and has even been known to spend some of its holiday in the room safe...
Kobe looked really good you don't often see reviews from there. We really like Teppan Edo so it will be good to try Kobe when we are offsite. Chillis looked good too. Thanks for posting.

Final Installment – Highs, Lows, Stats
So the time has come for me to say good-bye to our trip this summer . I’m already feeling the withdrawal, but the blow is softened by the fact that I have booked a city break in October to Salzburg this morning , so that somewhat takes the edge off . I'm looking forward to recreating scenes from The Sound of Music…I want to sing ‘I am 16 going on 17’ while running around the edge of the gazebo . I’m sure DH and the kids are going to love this upcoming trip! Anyway, back to the reason why we are all here. I was curious to find out how many cocktails and cokes and burgers and desserts we managed to scoff and decided you all must want to know too! So, I’m going to include some statistics in with my highs and lows. I feel it’s only fair to break the trip down into the two parts, how on earth could we compare New York eats with Orlando eats? Oh, but hang on, I’m jumping ahead and forgetting something… …our WORST cocktail of the holiday… The Bloody Mary . This continues to haunt me and lives on in my nightmares. For those who can’t remember we both accidentally ordered these with our breakfast while waiting for the flight at LHR. Never again. Right, now we've got that out the way we can head onto New York. Last weekend I asked everyone what their favourite meal was. The kids both said Rosie O’Grady’s. The conversation went something like this… Me ‘What was your favourite restaurant in New York?’ DD ‘The one where I had the sorbet, it was really tasty’ Me ‘Oh, yes, and you had the California Burger with the avocado’ (she likes avocado a lot) DD ‘Er are you sure?’ Me ‘Yes’ Is it only me that remembers every detail? DS ‘My best restaurant was the one where I got lost going to the toilet’ Me ‘I’m going to need more details to narrow it down’ DD ‘He means the same one I said’ Me ‘Rosie’s, you had the cheeseburger sliders and then chocolate lava cake’ DS ‘Yes it was a brilliant pudding’ Me ‘And you DH?’ DH ‘I’m not joining in’ I suspect he may have guessed that I was interviewing them, I think I may have mentioned that he doesn’t really get the Dibb. So, a unanimous decision then, Rosie’s was an amazing restaurant. Another accident really, as I’d wanted to go to Ellen’s Stardust Diner for dinner but the queue was too long and we ended up at Rosie’s. DH and myself loved our steaks and it was only when I was writing it up on here a couple of weeks ago that I realised our waiter Dennis had treated us to the wine (as he’d forgotten to put it on the bill). Off to Orlando then and I asked the same question and the conversation went something like this… Me ‘What about your favourite restaurant in Orlando?’ DD ‘Easy. Cowfish’ She clearly felt no explanation was required she discovered that she loves sushi. DS ‘Perkins’ Me ‘Err, really, you had goldfish and some chicken nuggets’ DS ‘And the build your own ice cream sundae.’ Me ‘Err. What about Longhorns? You had that massive chocolate cake that you couldn’t eat so we took it back to the hotel and you had it for breakfast?’ DS ‘No. Perklins’ DS ‘Hang on I forgot about Cicis. That was my favourite’ Me ‘Seriously? The pizza buffet where we were given plastic plates was your favourite?' DS ‘We had brownies for pudding too’ I guess it makes sense…this is the boy who rotates between ordering burgers, nuggets (sorry, I mean chicken tenders) and pizza and if there is a chocolate based dessert he WILL order it. I only received a withering look from DH as a reply! I’ve found it really hard to narrow down and pick a favourite. I’ve managed to narrow it down to a top 3 Longhorns, Chili’s and Cowfish. If I was looking for somewhere to eat steak I’d head to Longhorns as they were fab (I think this is DH favourite as he loved the Montana Mule and steak and we went back for second helpings later in the holiday). I really like Mexican though and the meal at Chili’s was delicious (so were the cocktails). On Citywalk Cowfish was great, I too like sushi plus the Moscow Mule was perfect. On to the statistics… Cheeseburgers = 16 The best burgers we had were from the Hard Rock Café. These were great and it was a wonderful last night meal. Cokes = 36 I’m not entirely certain this is 100% accurate as I didn’t note the refills for kids drinks properly and I didn’t include the cans in the hotel room, so this is an underestimate. Over two weeks they had averaged more than one coke a day each. Desserts = 28 This was lower than I thought and somewhat shameful for 4 people over 14 days . It does include the Big Pink as one dessert (but as we shared it between the 4 of us perhaps I should have added in more). The ice cream from Florean Fortescues sits quite high on my list of best desserts. The kids did like their build your own ice cream sundaes, but perhaps the top spot should be the cheesecake at Juniors in NYC, DH did say it was the best cheesecake he'd ever eaten. Cocktails = 28 Again, this was lower than I thought it would be ! I’ve only counted the mang-o-rita’s that I had in the hotel room as 1 though (there were 12 little cans). The best cocktails? Hmm? That is hard. There were of course the mules…DH had the Montana mule at Longhorns and this was hit. I had the Moscow mule at Cowfish. There were several margaritas from Margaritaville and these were all delicious. IMPOSSIBLE to decide – I can’t say which the best cocktail was they were all lovely. And we are finally at the end. I don't think there is anymore to say, apart from thank you... I’ve been extremely flattered by some of your lovely comments and replies to my posts . It has been an absolute pleasure writing up the report. I’ve said a few times that I have been very self indulgent in my writing, as I’ve included bonus material and digressed at many points away from the main objective of reporting about the food we ate. You have borne with me through no photos of food, to extremely dodgy blurred photos of food and then finally an absolute overload of menu photos! I am sure that many of you have skipped through the endless paragraphs of nonsense (in particular the posts where I couldn’t figure out how to get a picture of a receipt that I had in my hand onto the computer when DH was at work). If you are someone who skipped the boring stuff and just looked at the photos then I hope towards the end they were helpful after the unreliable start. Thank you once again to everyone who has stuck with me. I’ve now got to try and figure out how to insert an index just in case someone comes along in the future, at least then they won’t have to wade through the boring bits!

Oh poor Big White Doggie. He will never again be relegated to the hold. I don't think I could have felt more guilty about it and in the end he was the only thing I was keeping everything crossed for a safe return. We've not thought about putting him in the safe in the hotel room though!
We really enjoyed Kobe, we have done Teppan Edo before and I think I first heard about Kobe on a Krispysmore vlog. It was identical to Teppan Edo delicious meat, rice, noodles and vegetables. Thanks for reading You are welcome. Glad you enjoyed it all
