thanks for the updates, sounds like you're having a great time. DD will explode with excitement when she spots one of those Ben and Jerry's cookie dough sandwiches.

Day 1 - 17th Sept: The Pub - Pointe Orlando Just a nibbly lunch. Black Cherry Mule Nice and gingery with a hint of cherry. We are sharing two small dishes. Cheese Bol***ks mozzarella & provolone cheeses, fried beer batter, marinara. So much better than normal mozzarella sticks for some reason. Sausage Flatbread italian sausage, mushrooms, onion, provolone, mozzarella, marinara Both have been featured in a previous food report of mine. These are new pictures though. Enjoyed them as much as before and would definitely have them again. Edited at 05:47 PM. |

Ooh I've not heard of a black cherry Mule. DH and myself became addicted to the 'mules' on our trip this summer. We made a Montana Mule a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't half bad...I'm studying the photo of the menu so that I can re-create your black cherry. It seems you're having a fab time. Can't wait for the next installment.

Day 1 - 17th Sept: Brick House Tavern Dinner at Brickhouse which is opposite the I-Drive 360 Complex. We have been wanting to try here for a few years. Sirloin Steak Tips Sirloin marinated for 24 hours, with mushrooms & onion gravy, crispy shallots & choice of side. As my side I chose asparagus and asked for the steak cooked medium. I really enjoyed this. The steak was as soft as fillet. Only criticism is I could have used more crispy shallots as they were very nice. Chicken Pot Pie Pulled chicken, red potatoes, peas & thyme topped with flaky puff pastry. Baked daily. Another hit. He said this was very flavourful and actually quite light. It had potatoes inside though so plenty filling. I tried it and it was delicious. Both of us would order this in the future. Edited at 05:37 PM. |

Day 1 - 17th Sept: Halloween Horror Night This years speciality cocktail was a bit funkier than usual. The choices were: Liquid Courage – Tangerine rum with orange juice and sprite. Liquid Fear – Vodka cocktail with cranberry juice and lemonade. Midnight Madness – 50% Liquid Courage, 50% Liquid Fear, 100% Midnight Madness. The mixed option last year was also offered but together in the same glass. This time the souvenir glass was split into 2 separate sections with a cool twisted straw. As you drink, they mix together. Both drinks were nice but we preferred the purple side. The orange one, the orange juice was a bit strong and sat heavy. When we refilled we asked for both sides to be filled with the Liquid Fear. Initial drink was $12.99 with souvenir cup. Refills after are $8.99.
