Oh my goodness a new food report, how did I not see this earlier... somehow you are already at day 2. Everyone loves an IHOP breakfast don't they? Although we have never been to Keke's and this does seem to be a dibb favourite. Looking forward to the rest.

Don’t think I’ve read a good report where anyone complains about Keke’s. Looked top! Can’t wait to try it next year.

Great report so far
Apparently there was a problem with the broiler at Burger King - even so it was just very odd!

Keke's was phenomenal - can't wait to go back!

DAY 3

Breakfast @ Denny's (International Drive)

This was our last morning on I Drive before moving to Universal so we headed to Denny's opposite the Avanti for breakfast.

It was quite busy in there but we got seated right away and our server was Gina who was really bubbly and friendly.

Decisions were made...

We both honed right in on the new menu item “Sticky bun pancake breakfast” and ended up going for it. Only difference was I went for sausage links and Lauren went for bacon. We also got a coffee each. Denny's also have hazelnut and french vanilla creamers but they're not a patch on the Keke's creamers!

Sticky bun pancake breakfast

This breakfast was AMAZING! The pancakes tasted just like cinnamon roll and the hash browns were super crunchy – just how I like them! I hope they keep this on the menu permanently!

To pay you have to go up to the cashier and the bill came to $26. I had a 20% off coupon for joining the e-club so it ended up at just over $20 and we left $5 tip for Gina on the table.

Lunch @ Emeril's Tchoup Chop (RPR)

We arrived at RPR at 12:00 and our room wasn't ready yet so we decided to have a wander round the resort (as an aside – we loved RPR, such a lovely hotel!) and when we walked past Emeril's Tchoup Chop there was a sign with a special offer for a free appetizer or dessert if you order a main. We both liked the look of the menu and noticed how much more reasonable the prices were at lunch compared to dinner so we decided to give it a go.

The inside was really nice, lovely décor and cool water feature in the middle of the restaurant.

Something to note was that it was freezing in here so bring a jumper! We had left our bags with luggage services so didn't have anything to put on and did feel very cold.

Emeril's Tchoup Chop's lunch menu

We asked our server, Keith, about the special offer and he confirmed we could get a free appetizer or dessert so we decided on the chicken egg rolls. We both really enjoyed this – they were SO crunchy (they were probably overcooked in all honesty but it suited me very well as I like things super crispy and tend to overcook my food at home because of this as well..!) and the marmalade dip was nice and tangy.

Chicken egg rolls

For mains I ordered the Garlic Chicken Po Mi which is a cross between a Po Boy and a Bahn Mi. This was super tasty – the flavours worked so well together!

Garlic Chicken Po Mi

Lauren chose the Korean BBQ soft tacos and absolutely loved this! Again, the flavours really shone through.

Korean BBQ Soft Tacos

The only negative for both of us was that the chips were undercooked. We would have preferred them to be crunchier but to be honest this wasn't a big deal.

There were only a few tables occupied when we arrived and by the time we got our mains we were the only ones in there. I suppose it makes sense as most people go out to the parks during the day but it was such good food and amazing value so I was surprised there weren't more people there.

Great value!

Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party

I know this is a food report but just wanted to write a quick note about the party itself as we both loved it and was great to incorporate a bit of Disney on this trip.

We got to MK at 16:30 and left just after midnight. We managed to do all the rides we wanted to do (Haunted Mansion, BTM, IASM, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, People Mover and Buzz's Space Rangers), got a year's supply of trick or treat candy, watched Hallowishes and the Boo to You parade, as well as generally just soaking up the atmosphere. It was fabulous!

We were both thirsty so headed for Starbucks on Main Street. I got a Strawberry Acai Refresher and Lauren ordered an Iced Vanilla Latte.

We got a bit peckish at around 8:30 so headed to Casey's Corner for some hot dogs. We both went for the mac & cheese hot dog which was actually a pleasant surprise (the sausage was a proper meaty sausage and not a processed hot dog as we thought it might be)

Some random snack pics from the day.

This was our candy haul at the end of the party!

We had one of these each...

Such a great day!
