Light & refreshing (& pretty!).

Day 4 - 20th Sept: Nomad Lounge - Animal Kingdom

Before battling our way into Pandora, we stopped at the Nomad Lounge which is the bar attached to Tiffins restaurant.

It's really nice inside & wasn't at all busy - plus the air con was amazing!

I got Dalang's Delight

Andy got Sinaloa Sangria

To be honest, neither of us loved our choices. They were both quite serious & bitter.

I would return to the Nomad as it's a lovely escape from the crowds. I would hope there was a fruitier cocktail next time or i'd order a spirit/mixer.

Day 4 - 20th Sept: Satu'li Canteen - Animal Kingdom

Into the heart of Pandora now, it was time to grab lunch.

Being the clever people we are we had already placed our order through the MDE app so all we had to do was swan in & pick it up. We got a notification through the app that our order was ready as we were walking over

Mobile ordering was an absolute doddle to do & when we arrived we bypassed the huge main queue which was fab. I would definitely do it again, especially with the recent news its's now compatible with the Dining Plan.

We got two of the "create your own bowls to share".

1. Chopped Wood-Grilled Chicken
with Mixed Whole Grains and Rice and creamy herb dressing (topped with crunchy vegetable slaw and boba balls)

2. Slow-Roasted Sliced Grilled Beef Bowl
with Red and Sweet Potato Hash and Charred Onion Chimichurri (topped with crunchy vegetable slaw and boba balls)

Both came served in proper bowls with real cutlery which is a nice touch.

The beef was cooked perfectly for our liking & was very soft. The hash was quite tasty and it was a nice mix of sweet & normal potatoes. I like the sauce more than Andy.

The chicken, however was something else! It had so much flavour from the char. The rice/grain mix was mostly normal rice (& even Andy liked it even though he is fussy with grains etc.) The sauce was really, really good too. This one was the clear winning combo.

We didn't eat too much of the slaw/balls but they were just ok.

The 2 portions were generous & more than we could finish between us.

Definitely not style of substance here - I would definitely eat the chicken bowl again.

Day 4 - 20th Sept: Royal Anandapur Tea Company - Animal Kingdom

Later on in the afternoon I was getting very hot & spied this out the corner of my eye on the menu.

Tea Breeze
Our Frozen Lemon combined with Iced Tea topped with Grey Goose Vodka $9.49

Oh yum! This was great & super refreshing. Really cold (almosy slushy) lemony ice-tea.

Added to the "must get next time" list.

Day 4 - 20th Sept: Rainforest Cafe - Animal Kingdom

No trip to AK is complete to us without popping into the RFC bar on the way out.

Andy just got a cider whilst I got this;

Those who had read my previous dining reports may recognise it - the Strawberry Mojito.

Suffice to say, I will not "go on about it" any more than I previously have.

I will just say it was a lovely as ever. lol

Day 4 - 20th Sept: TGI Friday's - I-Drive

Just a swift drink before dinner.

We got all the way there, sat at the bar & ordered a drink where I was asked for ID.

I then realised in horror that I had packed my ID into my "evening" handbag ready to go, then grabbed my small park bag instead. The bartender looked at me like "yeah right, heard that one before!" when I explained.

Andy was not impressed and sent me marching back to the hotel alone to retrieve it. (it was only a 5 minute walk).

Back and more sweaty than before I ordered a well deserved beverage (proving to the bartender I *was* actually over 21 & not just trying it on).

Anyway...

Apologies but after the whole saga above, I can't even tell you what this is.

Was it nice? Who knows?! It doesn't stick out as being awful so I guess it was.

Just caught up - lots of nice sounding drinks. I definitely want to try Homecomin' and Satu'li Canteen - both of your meals there look fab.
