Honestly we are not going back next year so I’m not really making any plans in my head! Johnny Rockets looked good and so does Maggianos. They are always on my list but we end up eating in the parks or grabbing food in the hotel other than the odd trip to Millers. Looking forward to hearing all about Disney.
Hi. I love an arms and legs add on...
The plaza is great. The pool is just a pool but it’s nice enough and it never seems to be crowded. It’s big enough for ds to have plenty space and play with a ball without disturbing anyone else.

I like the plaza as an add on as I’m a huge onsite fan. It helps you stay longer. Or in this years case add an extra trip that like you we were definitely not doing this year. I’ve quite enjoyed keeping the parks a bit separate so we can enjoy the food, shopping and chilled outnes of being off site, with a little bit of SeaWorld that is.

Day five

We were keen to try somewhere different for breakfast but wanted it to be walkable rather than waiting on the trolley as we wanted to watch the football. So we settled on Friendlys. I joined the eclub and it was offering 25% but wanted you to print the voucher.

Our server was lovely and just asked to see the voucher on the phone and told us to use it as many times as we wanted during our stay.

Ds had the kids French toast breakfast and a strawberry milkshake.

Dh had the meat lovers omelette and a strawberry milkshake.

I had the cinnamon bun pancakes and a coffee.

All the food was delicious and the portion sizes were just right.

And cheap as chips even after leaving a good tip.

After the football we got an uber to art of animation $13.
Ds was so excited to be back at Disney. We’d done online check in and knew our room was ready. Quick stop to get the magic bands and ask for a late check out until 1pm.
We were little mermaid building 8 so the furthest away you can be, the walk is honestly not that bad.
I was happy as Larry as I’d picked up some rose gold ears in the shop, it’s the little things...

The room is fine. My only small gripe is there is no shower gel only soap and had I know I’d have brought one.
There is loads of work going on for the gondola system but we haven’t heard any noise.

Ok, confession time, notice how I’m distracting you with lots of non food info...that’s because I failed to take photos of all our food today.

We went swimming in the big blue pool but I didn’t take a camera and we headed to landscapes of flavours after.

We shared the create your own pasta. Alfredo with shrimp, spinach and mushroom. It was superb, I think this is one of the best value quick service options disney does. We also had a bacon cheeseburger and 2 bottles of juice.

It was $35 so not too bad.

When we were ready to go out the weather was mental so we used the lion king corridor as a sheltered short cut.

We got checked in with our lanyards and off we went in the pouring rain.

review of Disney after hours

New
Excellent night last night.

We arrived about 7.20. We would have been earlier but we thought ds having a decent nap beforehand would actually work out better for us and it did.

The weather when we arrived was horrendous, we headed straight for space which had a 105 minute line and were a bit disappointed to see the fast pass line all the way out in the pouring rain. It didn’t take too long though with fp.

We then headed round to splash which had a 30 minute line and was very quick with fp.

Next round to 7d again quick with fp.

We grabbed a pretzel and a churro ( no photos) and got a great spot for Happily Ever After with about 1 minute to go.

We were going to do HM but went for philharmagic instead as we had missed it last year and we all love it. When we came out it was 10.10pm so the event had started.

7D was down so we did the following all with no wait at all.
Winnie the Pooh
Teacups
Buzz - twice
Jungle cruise- a boat to ourselves
Flying carpets
Pirates - a boat to ourselves
Thunder - twice
7d - only wait if the night, it posted 10 minutes but was more like 20 as they were having problems with it. If we’d known I wouldn’t have bothered waiting as we’d done it earlier. By the time we got off it was saying 25 minutes and the line was well out the door.
Peter Pan
Dumbo

Buzz light year - 4 times without getting off.

So 16 rides during dah with 3 go booked with dah ticket, fireworks and 1 other ride.

We wandered about and had spells where you hardly saw another person. We had popcorn, sodas and an ice cream treat.

All cast members we encountered were cheery and happy.

We left around 1.30, there was a bus arrived for pop/ art of animation as we arrived at the bus stop and we wandered through art of animation taking photos and got to bed at 2.20am.

An amazing night and well worth the cost.

Fabulous fun. We stayed in Little Mermaid for a night last August when we weren’t going to Florida then had a night at POR for MNSSHP...my add ons sound familiar! We really enjoyed AOA and didn’t find the walk bad at all, mind I think I would have if we were there for 2 weeks having hammered the parks😬

Ha ha you are just like me. We’ve already added stuff on to our pofq trip for next year and spent the morning in the pool discussing all the other possibilities.
