Just joined the fun. The pancakes you had for breakfast from room service look delicious. Also, the brisket you had on the first night I think. Which is unusual for me as I normally have chicken and not red meat.

Day 3 - Shake Shack
We fell in love with Shake Shack a few years ago when we passed through JFK airport. It’s cooked fresh to order and comes with crinkle fries. I didn’t get a pic of the menu as people were stood in front of it - sorry. You get a buzzer when you order to tell you when your food is ready. 0FCF5F1F-7BA0-42FA-B677-84101C7ADF86 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr I ordered the SmokeShack burger which is a beef Pattie, peppers, Shack sauce and bacon with Cheese fries and Dan ordered the same without the peppers or sauce. 7E93AB96-8581-42A3-AE84-270358E24CE7 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr B2B8FFEF-F3AE-4AC9-87BE-159B2FD739AA by MARIA PASS, on Flickr F4F9C8ED-BBC8-4DF8-BF9A-A1FD358CCEEC by MARIA PASS, on Flickr B9A30DAF-F7AC-4861-82D4-9511F13F9BB7 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr It didn’t dissapoint, still amazing flavour, could have ate a double, came to $23 which is expensive for fast food in Orlando but I promise its worth it - we’d give a 9/10 |

Day 3 - Cheesecake Factory - via Target
After the epic burgers we devoured at Shake Shack I was way too full to have dessert at Sugar Factory as originally planned. We headed over to Target for a look around and I spotted a Chocolate mousse Cheesecake Factory Cheesecake. Now this cheesecake is $16 so I had high expectations. Here is the Cheesecake in question 1F9165E3-CD92-4D0A-93C1-DA40D9481DDD by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 117DAC33-E035-4C37-B601-2AB2D7175BED by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 60CCF3C3-E67C-4ECC-B7D8-A7C7D00A3D02 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr Now this was a tasty cheesecake, very chocolaty and nice but at $16 I don’t think it was worth it, I would give it a 6 half/10 Hey it’s Dan here - The challenge with the cheesecake factory is one of expectation. It has been hyped up across the years and this has then be amplified by the obvious tie-in to the Big Bang Theory (and other big USA TV programmes). The chocolate mousse cheesecake was ok. Small dollop of cream, decent chocolate flavour, and an un-offensive mousse. An underwhelming 6/10. Not worth the $16 + tax. Edited at 01:35 AM. |

Day 4- Discovery Cove
Hey everyone We’ve just had an awesome day at Discovery Cove, it was a beautiful day weather wise and for those who have not been here before I would highly recommend if you would like to swim with dolphins, in a reef with fish and stingrays, float down a lazy river and have an inclusive food and drink. This place is pretty pricey but I would say its definitely worth it for the experience. My other half Dan has asked to weigh in on the food reports too so you will see both of our views. Maria - The food here is pretty basic but does the job, we arrived at 7am and went straight to breakfast- I pretty much picked up one of everything (look it’s all inclusive)and had scrambled eggs, sausage patty, bacon, breakfast potatoes, fruit and pastries - even a chocolate milkshake 164037F2-1DB2-43D5-8872-44004EF94575 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr E94EDC09-A20D-4DF5-9FBA-A4911E5F766F by MARIA PASS, on Flickr Dan - I had a simple combo of scrambled egg, bacon, sausage patty (which still feels awkward when it looks like a burger), and breakfast potato. All pretty standard fare, nothing remarkable, but perfectly edible. Especially at 7am. A solid 6/10. Maria - Snacks are available all day but we didn’t indulge, When lunch came around i got a burger, fries and mac and cheese, with a Strawberry topped classic cheesecake and more fruit - its all pretty basic stuff really and isn’t going to win any flavour awards but filled a hole. The mac n cheese had no flavour at all however the cheesecake was better than the Cheesecake Factory cake though which was surprising I’d give breakfast and Lunch a collective 6/10 9E9B1B5C-4B9E-40F1-BAFB-E5272FE72DCA by MARIA PASS, on Flickr ED77A898-B755-4E25-99CE-97563D929E6A by MARIA PASS, on Flickr Dan - Discovery cove has a relatively standard kind of menu that would not look out of place in a theme park: burgers, hot dogs, Caesar salad. I opted for the cheeseburger with french fries, and a side of Mac & cheese. An overall disappointing meal. The burger was overcooked, dry, and very bland. The french fries were ok but nothing to write home about. The mac & cheese was lukewarm with almost zero actual cheese flavour. The cake was the only really acceptable quality item. While “generic store” in flavour, it was perfectly acceptable. I finished none of it despite being quite hungry. While I appreciate that discovery cove is “all inclusive”, I do not feel that excuses substandard food. Especially at the high cost of entry. A woeful 4/10.
