Totally agree about the food at Discovery Cove. Were going again next year though!

Day 4 - Dominos Pizza

We didn’t go out as planned this evening due to a relentless storm overhead, we decided to order in a Dominos instead.

I ordered a thin base 10 inch chicken, bacon and bbq sauce pizza, and Dan ordered an Hawaiian, we also got some chocolate lava cake for dessert and some ranch and bbq dip.

The pizzas were ok, just standard Dominos but we were hungry and it definitely filled us up, We’re going to give it a 5/10 but had low expectations anyway.

So many yummy things, love the look of those pineapple pancakes and the burger sushi has intrigued me, plus the shakes look fab.

Day 5 - Shake Shack because Joey Fatones has gone

We decided to have another shopping day today instead of head to Clearwater beach, we’ve heard that there is a problem with red algae and wanted to make sure we had the facts about the place before we travel all the way there.

Breakfast was a bit unconventional today and came in the shape of a bottle of Starbucks Mocha

We headed to the outlets on International drive near universal and then went to the Florida mall (Not the Mall at Millenia the other one) on entering the building we noticed that they had built another Shake shack but as we had planned we were going to try Joey Fatones (From N-sync) hotdogs, after shopping some more we went to the food court to search for the hotdog stand only to find out it is no longer there - No idea why. So there was only one thing for it - Shake Shack - to be fair we know its a guaranteed decent meal so we weren’t too disappointed, we also nipped into Carlo’s bakery on the way past (even though we were disappointed last time we went here).

I ordered a Shack-Cago hotdog and some bacon, cheese fries

My hotdog came with Banana peppers, onion, shack sauce, relish and pickles and was really tasty - it was a bit messy though and I was picking pieces of onion out of my bra in no time. I’d probably get a burger again next time though - I’d give it a 8/10

Dan stuck with the traditional smoke shack single, it was juicy as always with nice bacon and cheese. He gives it a 8/10 on this occasion.

Day 5 - Carlo’s Bakery

We’ve been to Carlo’s before but didn’t have a great experience, now not to be defeated we thought we’d give it another go... and we are glad we did.

I ordered a chocolate dipped cheesecake - it was really nice, actually quite light and creamy. It doesn’t look great in the pic as it was bashed about a bit on the journey but it was really good - I’d give it a 8/10 it was around $7

Dan ordered a chocolate fudge brownie

Dan said the brownie topping was very soft almost like a ganache, with the crumbly brownie base, the brownie was very nice and tasted good and he’d give it a 7/10. It cost $3.35

Love shake shack! Is it bad I’m drooling over those desserts at quarter to eight in the morning?! 🙈

Really enjoying your report. We love Shake Shack, discovered it in New York last year. We don't usually eat many burgers or go to fast food places but we were amazed by Shake Shack. We have discovered a branch in Cardiff now, so can enjoy their meals (occasionally) at home. I agree it is more expensive than regular burger places, but worth the extra 😀

Day 5 - Snacks for Dinner

The Shake shack that we had earlier had filled us right up, we had attempted a game of crazy golf at Citywalk but due to weather we were called off midway through the first game so we went to Starbucks to see it we could ride out the storm and continue with our game of golf.

Dan orderered a skinny latte and I ordered a Strawberry frappe.

Following this the weather didn’t let up and our appetite just wasn’t up to a big meal so we headed back to the hotel. After a few hours I was slightly peckish so had some Cheetos that we picked up from Target earlier in the week - not very exciting I know but we’ll be back on it tomorrow.

Also apologies that we have gone a bit off track on the report but we’ve been fitting so much into our days that the plan has gone a bit off track.
