Day 11 - HHN Snacks and room service

After walking 23,000 steps in 33c heat and managing to do almost all the houses at HHN before 10pm we were beat. We needed to get into the aircon, rest our feet and eat something - anything, so room service was the option.

When we got back to our room we noticed that the hotels are doing a special HHN menu

We decided to get pizza again as it was good the other night - this time it was cheese

Mozzarella sticks which are called broken fingers on the HHN menu

A brownie plate to share too

All of the food was really nice, just what we needed, it took about 30 minutes and was $43 we will give it a 7/10

Day 12 - Rosie’s - Hollywood Studios

We moved over to the Boardwalk Inn this morning and dropped our bags before heading over to Hollywood Studios. We were originally going to eat at the Boardwalk but we were still full from last nights Dinner so decided to pick something up from the parks instead.

At lunchtime we still weren’t that hungry as it was super hot but decided to share some nuggets and fries

The food was ok - just normal theme park food and did the trick, someone took my order at the till by accident so we received a free incredibles cupcake.

I thought the cupcake was nice, it was a red velvet with cream cheese filling and frosting, Dan thought it was too sweet and sickly though. I’d give the meal overall a 6/10 - it came to £19 with drinks and did the trick.

Day 12 - Big River Grille - Boardwalk

So this is where the day didn’t quite go to plan. We checked into our room in the afternoon after a morning at Hollywood Studios and had our luggage brought up. Within 10 minutes I’d tripped over one of the cases and accidentally broke my little toe

I was really unable to walk properly at this point so our plan to head to Epcot food and wine was really out of the question.

Dan sourced me some plasters to strap my toe up from the general store downstairs and we attempted to have a walk around the Boardwalk to see how I’d get on - I didn’t do great to be honest and I even resorted to purchasing Disney Crocs as it was able to help my foot.

We decided to head to the Big River Grill as it wasn’t too far and despite the reviews not being amazing all we needed at this point was food (and ice)

I ordered the rack of ribs - this came with cheesy mash and vegetables - the portion was huge and I couldn’t get through half but it was really tasty and certainly did the trick. I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which was refreshing and came with free refills.

Dan ordered mac and cheese with Chicken - he checked that no herbs were added and the server confirmed that it was classic and didn’t. Dan also got Diet Coke which also came with free refills - Dan enjoyed his meal but it was also huge so he didn’t get through half.

We would give this meal 7/10 - it was $54 and was pretty good, the service was also very good with friendly and helpful staff.

Great food report. Kekes and the polite pig look like total stand outs. Your room service pizza looks nice too.
Good tip to know publix is next door to kekes.
So jealous you got to do HHN. Enjoy the rest of your trip.

Day 13 - Boardwalk Bakery

Dan went down to the Boardwalk Bakery to grab breakfast this morning, Dan wanted a Oh that’s so cheesy which is a 3 cheese, ham and egg toastie and I wanted a Ooie Gooey which is sun dried tomato, egg, cheese and ham. The servers were apparently a bit rude and standoffish to Dan which isn’t very Disney and said that they do not do the ‘Ooh that’s so cheesy’ so he ordered a butter, butter which is scrambled egg and cheese spreads with ham and then toasted.

Dan didn’t enjoy his at all he said it was bland and tasted sweet for some reason - he’d give this a 5/10

Mine on the other hand was quite nice and I’d give it 7/10 this was quite pricey though - with 2 coffees it came to $28 and for the rudeness we wont be returning.
