Day 13 - Satuli Canteen
So due to me messing my toe up, I really thought today (and the rest of the holiday) would be a right off. But we attempted Animal Kingdom anyway - We hired a wheelchair and Dan pushed me around (which I am so grateful for) We went to Satuli Canteen for lunch and after seeing the size of the cheeseburger pods we ordered a kids meal. I ordered a cheeseburger pod which came with a small water, vegetable crisps and grapes. This was tasty and soft, the crisps slightly spicy and the grapes refreshing. I would give the meal 7/10 and Dan would give it 7/10 too - it was nice to see healthy things on the menus as well as eating all this stuff can get a bit heavy. |

Hope your toe is on the mend! I've broken a toe when I was a kid and it's always surprising that there's nothing at all you can do for it, just tape it up. Feels weird when it's a broken bone! Hope it feels better soon.
Also I have a bone to pick, as you've got me adding a load of 'must eats' to my already overloaded plan for next May lol. Really feel like we need to try NBC in Citywalk! The photos of the pool at the Royal Pacific were making me nostalgic... are the pool ducks still there?! |

Day 13 - Mickey Ice Cream Bar
We needed to cool down as AK was super hot, we both ordered a Mickey ice cream bar - they’re $5 each and basically for those who don’t know an ice cream in the shape of Mickey covered in chocolate. Day 13 Raglan Road
We changed the plan up ever so slightly and decided to go to Disney Springs in the evening instead of Animal Kingdom - There was a reservation free at Raglan Road so we booked it - we’ve been to Raglan Road before and always had a great experience so we thought it would be a good choice — oh we were so wrong... We turned up at 8:15pm for our reservation and were handed a buzzer and told we would be called in 10 minutes, 20 minutes later the buzzer went off and we headed in to get seated. I asked for a low table because of my foot and they accommodated this and I ordered a berry margarita and Dan ordered a Kaliber to drink C2011E6B-7FA3-4D0C-9ABC-8903242C549B by MARIA PASS, on Flickr The drink was a bit Meh with an overriding gin taste to it Soon after the bread came out - this hasn’t changed and was still very nice with the Guiness/honey reduction 70023722-5165-4488-BE80-5659222DC25C by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 4715381A-D345-4318-A9E2-D8BD5315FCBB by MARIA PASS, on Flickr I ordered the shepherds pie and Dan ordered the Burger R way - but without salad and sauce - he ordered it medium well so was expecting a fully cooked burger with a slight amount of pink. 2DD0C3F5-C312-4DEC-922D-AB6BC972F54C by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 3B4F8F2C-B903-44A9-83AF-4CB68B09BC66 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr My shepherds pie was underwhelming and tasted a bit like it was made with home pride sauce like we do at home and not cooked from scratch, it was a 5/10 at best and I wasn’t very well the next morning Dan here. My meal was a disaster from start to finish. As noted I ordered a burger to be cooked medium well. It came out cold and completely over cooked. The chips that came out where also cold, this led to us to believe that the meal had been sitting around for a while (perhaps while they sorted Marias dish out). After an attempt to eat, it was sent back. The replacement ordered as a medium with the hope that it would be better. It was as bad as the initial offering. I was half way through this overlooked and dry burger when i discovered a piece of onion in the dish. I had politely spit this out and dispose of it. The rest of the meal was just atrocious. I abandoned it and declined it being done for a third time. It was taken off the bill by the server who did her best to manage the situation. Overall, my view is that Raglan Road has changed. The menu has changed and so has the cooking. A 1/10 for the bread. With Dans meal deducted from the bill it came to $43 - i’d Give it a 4/10 overall and we wont be rushing back |

Day 13 - Sprinkles
After a disastrous dinner we decided to go to Sprinkles for some dessert I ordered a chocolate marshmallow cupcake, Dan had a vanilla milk chocolate and we got 2 mini cupcakes to share - red velvet and vanilla 7A9CDA0F-5A34-4121-98F1-DEFB393277F9 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 8018C1C0-4096-4E12-8350-520A0DF49A66 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr C30E252D-BA7D-4890-B129-8674D0E80AB5 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr A775CB6D-0495-4E56-9B8F-E16A0EC74D97 by MARIA PASS, on Flickr 8A157149-87CA-4079-8342-244E6F11B1AB by MARIA PASS, on Flickr As always sprinkles didn’t dissapoint, the chocolate marshmallow has the best flavour and was noise and well filled, Dan enjoyed his cupcake but said it was a little sickly - he’d give it 7/10 and I’d give it 8/10 the little ones were a bit overkill and the vanilla one was really rich - the red velvet was super tasty though and i may get a full sized one at some point - total was around $17 |
