Just go for it. Christmas is great, as long as you are chilled about what you can accomplish.
My Dh is the same I’ve agreed to not complain about not going in summer 2020, grudgingly but have now started on about a week (stupid school holidays) in October 2020 to do Halloween stuff as we have never been for that, he just shook his head and sighed so that means we will he doing it 😂. Skippers is really nice. The sauce on the chicken was a chilli glaze. It was stronger tasting on the rice than on the chicken but I really liked it.

Thanks, your dd likes her adventurous food too though doesn’t she?
The banana chocolate bread was great and ties in second place with the banana nut muffin from the Contempo but the banana nut bread from Mara is still top!

You need to try a jalapeño pretzel at least one. I love them, ds doesn’t really like them ( how can he be mine? ) and Dh can take them or leave them.
We’ve been to liberty tree once and had nice pasta there. It’s it one of my past reviews, 2016 maybe, I’ll look and add the link later. I tried the ooey gooey cake from there at the dessert party and it was awesome. I like Skippers better as the menu appeals to me more as it’s a bit more stronger flavours which is what we like. Yes we have made most of our adrs for summer now, Skippers was one of them. I’m planning to do a food report for summer and for our universal trip in Easter. Hopefully both will be faster than this one. 😂

Not only did you get your pretzel, but it was also covered in pixie dust!
How nice that you and your DH got to visit Epcot on NYE, it sure sounds like a brilliant day.

Just catching up with your report and making mental notes already for our 2020 trip. Hoping to stay at BC or YC and then onto HRH so I’ll be keeping an eye out for your next trippie too. Thanks for sharing and making me hungry

I know, it was like it was meant to be, me and my pretzel
Thanks for reading. The Epcot resorts are great, my heart does lie with the YC out of the 3 though and I love HRH, hoping for a couple of nights there in the summer before disney.

When we first booked the holiday, MK was just supposed to be open until 8pm this evening but shortly before it was increased to 11pm so we knew that it was going to be way busier than they had originally anticipated. We were also really keen for Mil to see Happily Ever After as it is just so amazing and because of holiday wishes and fantasy in the sky this would be our only opportunity. So, I did the sensible thing and booked the dessert party. I knew I didn’t want the Tomorrowland Terrace one for HEA due to the view but I went back and forth for ages trying to decide on the Plaza Gardens before or after. We eventually decided on the after one as we thought it would be less rushed. We checked in after 7, there were people in the same line waiting to check in for the terrace one, which I thought was a bit of a shame as this, purely paper process of check in would have been eating into their eating time. We were told we could enter the gardens now or later but we just headed in and sat at the back and just chilled. The view was great, we stayed at the back against the railings so Mil could stand. The walkway behind us was chaos when HEA started though and the poor CM’s were over run with people trying to stand up on the wall and flower beds. They kept saying the walkway was for emergencies only and it took them a good few minutes of shouting through megaphones to get everything under control. So near the back might not be the best for an undisturbed view. Afterwards we managed to dart across the flow of people to check in again, more highlighting on paper, for the dessert part. You were seated as you arrived and we luckily had a table overlooking the front which was fab for watching the craziness outside. We were given non-alcoholic apple cider on arrival and there was water, fruit juices, pog juice, strawberry lemonade, tea, coffe, hot chocolate and coffee for drinks. Savoury food consisted of cheeseburger spring rolls, interesting and cheese and crackers. Desserts were ok, Ds loved the little pineapple whip things, dh loved the little strawberry tarts, I loved the ooey gooey cake with ice-cream and Mil really liked the macarons. So, everybody found something to their liking and we all tried a few things. Overall, I loved the view, it was nice to do at such a busy time. $69 per person plus tax. Would I do it again, yes but only at really really busy times of the year. My main thought for booking was for Mil, we had rocked up about 20 minutes before the 11.50pm fantasy in the sky 2 days before and still had a view we were happy with.

Woohoo for a free pretzel! Result. But I have no idea why Disney made them so hard to find when they’re sooooo good.
I agree with your view that a busy time is *the* time to do the dessert party, I admit I wouldn’t bother otherwise. |

These pretzels are like the holy grail of Disney snacks these days. Who knows if by the summer they will be found anywhere, strange.

This morning we had a breakfast adr at Tusker House with the Rivers of Light Package. This has always been one of our top choices of character meal. We were a little late checking in by the time we walked up from Pandora as hours had changed and the park was opening at 7am rather than 8am. A few photos of the buffet: And some plates: I noticed the corned beef thing has disappeared which is a shame as I loved that previously. The food was all nice enough, the character interaction was good and our server was lovely. Ds wasn’t loving this for once though, I don’t know if he had overindulged on the desserts at the party last night but he didn’t really eat all that much. When I asked if he wanted me to book again for next time he wasn’t keen. It certainly wasn’t cheap, $46 per head. Rivers of Light was packed though so it was nice to have the reserved seating. We like ROL, I don’t think it’s the best night time show they do but we felt it was one of the things that we really wanted Mil to experience so I’m glad we did the package.
