Love black pudding, it’s our local specialty. Some people do eat the skin on the traditional ones.

Day 2 (first full day) Bubba Gump
After turning down my suggestion of Margaritaville nachos for lunch I was surprised and quite pleased to convince Nev to try Bubba Gump. I love seafood but whilst he eats it, he is not as enthusiastic about it as I am.
As we were greeted I asked if we could have a booth and she said she wasn't sure. I looked around, the section that was visible was literally empty, not a single table or booth was being occupied. Something I pointed out. We were then led to another section which did have tables being used but we got our booth. Service picked up from here on. We decided to order a few appetisers to share: ping pong prawns, shrimp mac & cheese and calamari. To drink we both had a soda each. We really enjoyed this meal. The mac & cheese was really creamy, the prawns were coated in a beautiful sauce that was both sticky and crunchy. The calamari was well cooked, although we had over ordered and we didn't really need it, the other two dishes being polished off first. A definite 9 from both of us for Bubba Gump. |

The shrimp look really great - those look like big portions for appetisers!

Day 2: Hot Dog Hall of Fame
We didn't fancy any dinner last night after fairly large breakfast and lunch, so we shared a regular size hot dog and fries from the Hot Fog Hall of Fame on Citywalk. We chose the Colorado which is hot dog topped with grilled peppers and onions and sauerkraut. Two more diet cokes to accompany.
Great fries, the topping made the hot dog quite difficult to eat but easily resolved. We would go back, a solid 7. |

I’ve always intended to try the hot dog place but to date haven’t managed it ... I do like a giant hot dog ... just gone on my potential list for Hard Rock week 😊

Day 3: Margaritaville
Breakfast this morning was a cereal bar and a cup of tea in the room. We therefore had quite an early lunch and today I succeeded in persuading Nev to try the volcano nachos at Margaritaville.
The lighting was very low when I took the first two pictures, about twenty minutes later they turned the lights up so I took another shot and you can see twenty minutes of nacho eating progress in photo 3. The nachos were lovely but not consistent in temperature, I mentioned to Nev that they could be warmer, he said they were fine so I took some from another part of the nacho mountain and they were indeed fine. It really is a huge portion, for perspective those cokes are in pint size glasses. It would comfortably make a lunch for four so we had a bit of waste. We will do them again, but not on this trip, I think it a once a year event. A good 7. |

Enjoying all your reporting.
We shared a portion of nachos once, in a Weatherspoons and were surprised to find a fully frozen chip (as in fish and chips, not a crisp) in the middle. We asked for another and found - the same. (HOW?!j That’s my benchmark for terrible nachos Best ever, crab nachos in Blue Zoo. Yours looked great though

Day 3: Butterbeer
After our volcano nachos we decided to wander (waddle) back to our room at the RPR for a couple of hours and then headed back to IoA for the afternoon. There were no queues anywhere until we got to the Harry Potter rides which were at 45 minutes, so I suggested we went to the Three Broomsticks and looked around the shops to give them time to die down.
At the Three Broomsticks we decided to have a butter beer, I had a normal one and Nev had the frozen version. We do like a butterbeer, these were quite large servings and as it is quite sweet, we didn't completely finish them. |
